Jalen Royals - WR - Utah St.

I think we can all but rule out a WR selection in the top 50 given all the other needs the 49ers have, but by our 3rd rd pick I bet Kyle is going to get the itch and I think I know EXACTLY who he's going to want..... Jalen Royals.

To me he's the closest thing to Brandon Aiyuk I've seen as a prospect and I actually called Aiyuk on here the day before the draft. Might be the most well rounded WR in this draft being an easy separator, great route runner, absolute YAC king, and does everything fairly well. If he was at a bigger program and one with better QB play he'd be a much more hyped prospect, similar to Aiyuk coming out. He could be our replacement for Aiyuk or if we keep Aiyuk be our longterm trio with Aiyuk, Pearsall, and Royals. Either way I KNOW Kyle has to like his tape.

Full agreement. Keeping a list of top 49er targets, and he was my first WR to profile. Jalen Royals – See some Aiyuk in him. Similar physical profiles. Smooth route runner and catches the ball naturally and then in stride becomes a runner. Good body control. I think he can be a solid possession receiver with big play potential.
