Was just inspired to make a thread for him because he's been flying under the radar for much of the offseason and has gotten lost in the shuffle of a very strong DT group but he's a nice prospect in his own right. Limited as a pass rusher but a monster against the run that showed the ability to hold up well against double teams and make plays at or behind the line of scrimmage frequently. Experienced starter coming out of a BC program that consistently featured NFL level coaching. If you want a powerful late round run stopper, this is the guy.

Through two games, Boston College's defense has allowed 81 yards total. That's it.

Along with DC Tim Lewis and DL Coach @JeffComissiong, DT Cam Horsley and plays like this ?? are big reason for their success.

Boston College DT Cam Horsley (6027, 312) helped himself at yesterday's pro day. One of my favorite day 3 DL prospects this year.

Like I said, if they need a dedicated run stopper inside, this is your guy. Draft a true 3T early and you can have someone like this eat snaps and free up Warner and Co to do their thing.

This is why I think the 49ers loaded up on 5th rounders. Great round for run pluggers to play 1T and 3T on base downs.

Don't care how they do it, make Horsley a 49er. He's just so good against the run. Not a massive DT but outstanding leverage allows him to hold up even against double teams. Ideal fit as a run stuffer in the middle.

Yes, I have him in my Day 3 thread. Was really impressed with his reps at the Shrine Bowl. Versatile between 1 and 3 tech and I like his size and length. Some of the guys in this class are a little short and smaller armed. Not a massive dude, but 6'3 with a 68% wingspan. I think hes an immediate and long term rotational guy and can be had on the cheap. The run stopping stands out but has more pass rush upside then people think.
