With the Niners history of first round busts, it's very important that they don't blow this opportunity at pick 11 this year. If I were the Niners, I would address the line of scrimmage on either side of the ball in the first with the best player available. With that in mind, who would be on your do NOT draft list at 11?
Defense - Shemar Stewart DE Texas A&M - phenomenal athlete, but his production sucks. Generates a ton of pressures, but very few sacks and almost NO help in the run game. Let someone else bet on his potential.
Offense - Josh Simmons OT Ohio St - IF he didn't tear his patellar tendon, he would have been the #1 prospect at OT. Niners can't afford to bet on his health in this situation.

My list this year isn't long honestly.
It also changes assuming we stay at 11 vs trade down but I'll try to just keep it to first round.
Josh Simmons - I know our luck. Another team will draft him and he'll probably be a multi year pro bowl/all pro LT for 10+ years. We draft him and he'll be Javon Kinlaw at OT.
Nic Scourton - just don't think there is enough upside with him in the first round
Any WR
Any RB
Any QB
Any TE
I would prefer we don't take Jalon Walker or Jihaad Campbell but I wouldn't hate the picks. Just don't think it's the best return given our needs.

Completely agreed, especially on Simmons, but I would also add I am not sure about Mykel. I think too risky at 11.

Every team has 1st round busts or guys that never become stars. The Niners are no better or worse than other teams. The recent history which was largely affected by the trade up in 2021 makes it seem worse than it really is. Plus recent years have usully had the Niners picking late in the first round where the player talent isn't as good.

I'm buying Nic Scourton. He was one of the best pass rushers at Purdue and then went to Texas A&M and wasn't as productive just like all of the other Texas A&M guys. Heck Walter Nolan didn't see his productivity rise until after he left A&M. Something going on with that defense.

I would target trenches on either side of the ball but would consider standouts at other positions if they are clearly bpa. I would avoid:
1 - guys with major injury question marks like will johnson and josh Simmons. Sure, they could end up being steals but I can't stomach that based on our recent history.
2 - guys with extremely limited production. Stewart being the obvious example of this. If they havent cut it in college, 11 is too high to gamble on.
3 - guys with major character concerns. I am not in the interviews so I don't know for sure but green and pearce scare me (pearce also because I'm not sure he can play run downs.

Pearce had no issues in college, I dunno where this nonsense about him being trouble comes from. If he had been a problem in Knoxville, I would've heard about it. As for his run defense, he had an 82 run defense score according to PFF, and watching him play last year, I saw no issue with him against the run. I am not saying that we should draft him, just saying that what you said doesn't match what actually went down in games.

i dont hate many prospects this year so mine is mainly positional
No QB/WR/RB/TE in first round. I wouldnt jump up and down with a CB or S pick just because we have bigger needs
No Mike Green for off the field issues
I want OL or DL (DT or EDGE) for first round pick
