The S and LB class isn't as deep as DT so if we are going D i would prefer one of those positions
Will Johnson is easily BPA so he would be interesting but I would love if we can get Xavier Watts or Schwesigner in the 2nd. We also have a giant hole at LG and wouldnt mind a OG

but we don't have a starting NT, we don't have a starting 3-tech, we don't have a starting FS and we don't have a starting LB alongside Warner,... we cannot get all these starters in the 7th round
IMO it would be a horrible way of building the team,... and picking Mike Green would be the worst possible choice I can imagine
YMG is in the final year of his deal. Sam O is in the final year of his deal. Neither of these guys are speed rushers. This team has alot of needs. One of them is pass rush specialist. We need a Dee Ford, Leonard Floyd, Samson Ebukam type dude. Someone around 250 pounds with some wheels and bend.
Does that have to be a second round pick? No. I theorized in my Day 3 thread Kennard, Powell-Ryland, Kaimon Rucker, or Tyler Barron. For the role these guys plays, day 3 capital makes sense. But I also didnt think Mike Green or Ezeiruaku would be available at 43. Those guys would give me some pause.

DT depth is vast but so is our need, I would not be shocked if Kyle gets a new toy early and then Address needs later. Probably depends on if a top WR or TE falls into our laps.
I hope they stick with need and go LB, DT, S in that order. Love it or hate it the brass thinks it can turn scrubs into stars on the Oline.

I would have
Will Johnson - I think he will be gone fast.
Nick Emmanwori
Trey Amos
T.J. Sanders
Will they take a RB or WR in the second?
TreVeyon Henderson
Jayden Higgins
There are so many good player that are starting caliber players.

Agreed. Can't have too many pass rushers. The tape on M. Green and D. Ezeiruaku looks really good. Wouldn't want to pass on a Dee Ford for a Javon Kinlaw just because the latter fills a need. Anybody know if there's a Chris Jones available in the 2nd round?

Next year is a much better tackle class at the top. Looking at some ratings that would have Will Campbell as the 5th best OT in the 2026 class if he were in it.
Goal this year is to get a developmental swing tackle and hope you can develop them in to a starter in a year or two. The next Jaylon Moore or Mckivitz would be a success.

Last of the top tier before drop off worth considering at 43 IMO
We still have massive needs at LB and DT so those would get 1st consideration
LB Schwesinger
DT Alexander
DT Sanders
WR Burden
DE Green
DE Eziruaku
CB Johnson
CB Revel
CB Amos

If a highly rated OT is on the board when we pick next, I think that should be the pick, followed by DT since starting OTs are harder to come by generally and DT seems deeper in this draft for sure. I won't be unhappy if they go with one of the top DTs at 43 but hopefully that doesn't come at too big of a cost on OL quality.
Of course, watch it be a RB at 43 knowing this FO

I'm expecting ShanyLynch might go WR/LB/OL with our 2nd-3rd and by 4th-5th round, we will load up on our DL rotation. So many good starting caliber prospects.

no, we don't need a pass rush specialist,... that we could be better with one,... possibly, but we don't need one
what we really need are starting caliber players at
- NT,
- 3-tech,
- FS
- LB alongside Warner
because we don't have any,... zero,.... all we have are backups,... and not even good ones,...
and I see M. Williams as a 3 down edge,... may be not day1,... but in the near future,... he has the motor and he fits the wide-9 scheme better than those "specialists",...he can contribute in pass rushing snaps even if his sack production is not still very high,... he 's strong and knows how to collapse the pocket, he creates pressure,...
