It's a shame he was playing with a s**tty QB at VaTech.

I'd like to go further with this point, is the QB play always this bad at the combine?

On the deep passes like maybe 1 in 4 were actually well thrown balls

They are not used to throwing to these guys, so that's why you see so many over-thrown and under-thrown balls. Especially on deep routes, but they should atleast hit the curls

Timing is usually poor since the QBs have never worked with these WRs, so it's usually not that big a deal.

i get that but still, the guys are running a simple route and some balls are way way over thrown, on the comeback routes i can understand the chemistry thing
Those cones are making too many tackles, if you get knocked off routes by a cone then you may have problems at the next level.

NFL Network is starting to p**s me off. I don't want to see special reports on the Colts new facility, cutaways to the announcers talking about position drills or 25 commercials per hour.

I want to see the prospects go through their drills!!!!!

Go online. They are live streaming it. Go to camera number 4. No commercials.

heres a little tidbit on DeSean Jakcson, from the guys at nfl.com who are blogging

"Word is that DeShaun Jackson of Cal, who had a blazing 40 time earlier in the morning, also had the best workout during passing drills of the receivers."

He should be the top WR taken, I think anywhere from 7-15. He has good hands, and is the most explosive player in the draft bar none. On film, he is the fast player in the draft, and is a much better WR than Ted Ginn ever was.

His speed and athleticism are fantastic, but it doesn't change the fact that he is 5'9" and ONLY 169 lbs. NFL Scouts and coaches are going to wonder is he is physical enough to beat a jam at the line or scrimmage or break arm tackles at his size. That has to be a consideration.

And his size will probably scare off s few teams but his speed will bring is more teams than his size will scare away.

I will take him in a heartbeat at 29

Shaun McDonald 5'10 183 pounds, 74 catches around 950 yards and 6 TD's in 2007 under a Mike Martz offense.
DeSean jackson can be a much better version of him, 5'9 3/4 and 169 pounds (can bulk up some)

Depends on who is there at 29 but I wouldn't be that upset if we selected him

The Niners could do alot worse if they took him at #29. I may have my doubts about his size, but the kid does make some amazing plays.

No, if you run the go route, that's harder to throw. Some guys take long strides, some take small, and over distance it is hard to throw accurately. The shorter routes are a lot easier, especially comeback routes, because you throw it right before the guy makes the cut, and it's only a 10 yard pass.

He showed good adjustment on the long pass and has you said, very smooth. Do you know where he is projected to go?

He ran a 4.39 in the 40, 24 bench presses (He is 5'10", 185!) and has a 36 inch vertical.
