yes, in the US, animals get more sympathy than humans. Vick served his time, get off his nuts. I hope he does well. I got a feeling McNabb can no longer play a full 16 game season.
No, premeditation is the key here. You don't see Ray Carruth walking the streets do you? Our court system/ general population has sympathy for those who didn't intend to commit their crimes. Like it or not people can understand how you can have too much too drink and then recklessly drive. People can't understand how you can get off to animals ripping each other apart.
That being said I do think he deserves another chance and I give African props for actually breaking down the signing. I too wondered if the Vick signing could be a way to push McNabb out the door. Everyone knows that Philly doesn't like to pay big contracts. Could this be a message to McNabb that he is replaceable?

After listening to McNabb speak last night I don't think this is the case. Apparently McNabb has been lobbying for Vick to come to Phily as well as mentoring him in how to actually be a productive member of society. Unless McNabbs line was total BS, which I kind of doubt, I think that he welcomes Vick to Phily. It does not seem like a message to McNabb that he may be on the way out.

Exactly what I have been trying to say all along.
He may deserve another chance, but hes certainly not my choice for a QB.

doesnt matter both crimes are still against the law!!!!! Leave Vick alone he did his time. Don't mean to call the race card but the majority of the people I see complaining is white america. It's okay to poke and prong bulls, horses, for a sport but it's not okay for dog fighting. Double Standard. Bull riding and horse riding needs to be BaNNED also.
Just leave Vick alone.

The race card works both ways. Lame argument right there. I don't know a single African American who cares what Vick did. Every single one of them just makes excuses left and right. "X" drunk driver didn't get punished neither should Vick. It's just dogs. Blah, blah, blah.
Poking and proding is different from maiming. If we had the sh*t that happens in Spain I'd agree with you, but that's not the case. There's no double standard there whatsoever. Last time I checked they weren't fighting these horses/bulls to the death just for sh*ts and giggles. Let's not forget that one is a sport while the other is an illegal gambling operation.

If im not mistaken, poking and proding is considered animal cruelty!!!!! So you are saying that its okay to poke and torture, but as long as you don't kill the horse or bull? Would you do that to your pet? Have you heard what they do to those animals before the person rides? Come on dude!!!!!!!!!!!Double Standard like I said. I don't condone Vick's actions. I also think that bull riding and horse riding should be considered animal cruelty . Vick did his time, people are mad because he just got 2 years and they wanted the maximum penalty. Grow Up and move on. Let the man play!!!!!!!

I'm glad to see Vick back in NFL. Everyone deserves a second chance, but he has to show that he has changed, matured and learned from his mistakes. I also think there is a lot of double standard here, but whatever. He is back in NFL and has paid his debts, and now deserves a chance to earn for his family, kids and himself.
Good luck to him.
