My gut says Coach wants Vick here, but the front office has said no.
The problem with Vick had a lot to do with his attitude. He thought the ball was better off in his hands. Period. So if his first option wasn't open, he'd take off and run with it. He never learned progressions, or was really forced to work on his accuracy. It's why his TE's always got the most catches, and everyone thought the Falcons WR's sucked. But truth is he didn't have the patience to let plays develop so he could get the ball into the WR's hands.
In some ways I think Vick is what Steve Young "could have been", if he had not come here and had time to learn behind Montana. Young got by early on with his legs, although he was never a "bad" passer. But his time learning the system and developing his overall Quarterback skills is what made him a Hall Of Fame player.

With Vick still being unsigned I believe it's time for us to step up and sign him. Having Vick in our offense would add alot of fire power. Think about it we would be adding Coffee, Sheets, Brandon Jones, Crabtree, Pascoe, and Vick. That is a lot of explosiveness when you put it with Gore, VD, and Josh Morgan. I think Vick would give us a real short yardage qb threat as he could always sneak it for a yard or we could run the wildcat and keep defenses on there heels. He would bring another dimension to our run and pass game. I wouldn't have him start but I would have plenty of Vick packages. For the price we can get him for I think we should really make this happen. Vick was never a distraction to his teammates and I believe he would buy into Singletary's team first philosophy. I think people hate on Vick because it's the thing to do. I say be smart and think about it. What would be the down side of signing him? Negative media attention? Who cares maybe it would give our team a much needed attitude and perhaps spark a superbowl run as it did for the Ravens in 2000.

If vick signs with a team before our wayward WR, I will be disturbed. Here is an interesting question. Who will score a TD first Crabs or Vick?

Why not? He's paid his dues to society, he's a good football player, and we can use another weapon on offense.
Ban for lying
he is a good football player. and id rather have him than have drafted sanchez's weak ass
Excluding W-L's, I'm gonna say Sanchez has a better statistical career than what Mike Vick has done so far. Oh and here's the catch, as a passing QB, not as a QB that runs around like a chicken with its head cut off. Mark Sanchez is a far better passer than what Vick will ever be.
You say this because?? Sanchez has played no NFL games so you are judging this off of college? You probably would have said the same if it was Harrington or Ryan Leaf coming out. Vick has been a good QB in the NFL regardless of how he gets it done he makes plays. 1st QB to beat Green Bay in Green Bay in the playoffs ever. He played in a sucky system with Gregg Knapp as Offensive Co-ordinator and no receivers. He has a better arm than Sanchez and is much more agile. I'll take Vick over Sanchez any day of the week. You my friend are trippin. Sanchez = Latin Leinart.

Im getting tired of every 10 minutes on ESPN they say "Vick could sign this week" and that "teams are interested in him". They keep saying this s**t and nothing is happening. It's like the new Favre.

It's the same as Niner Talk. When there's nothing to talk about, they just keep rehashing the same crap.

Yes I probably would have said this about Leaf or Harrington, and as it is obvious I would've loss that argument (But like I said it was a BET). BUT, Sanchez from what I've seen, if given the protection, he can be a much efficient passer than Vick. Much better poise in the pocket, does not stare down his receivers and goes through his progressions.
