If he hadn't have gone to the Cowboys I wouldn't have cared, but as far as I'm concerned,we used him to bring another Super Bowl to SF and then moved on,now you can see him all the time sounding like an idiot on the NFL Network....

Without him we DO NOT win that Superbowl. That deserves a ton of props from us regardless of him leaving for Dallas.

When did I ever not give him props in my post for winning a Super Bowl with us???
I said he sounds like an idiot on the NFL Network(once again my opinion),that takes nothing away from what he did for us.

Your just attacking anything I saw now in different threads, knock it off noob, and stop acting like a commie, the is an American based website where "Freedom of Speech" is accepted.

Start learning how to deal with peoples opinions,or go start your own site and make your own rules.
Didn't know he had a reality show. I like the guy so I'd check it out anyway, but it doesn't hurt that his wife's hot.

We would have won the Super Bowl that season with or without Sanders. He was just one star amongst many. We had Tim McDonald, Tyrone Drakeford, Merton Hanks, Dana Hall. We weren't exactly hurting in the secondary without him. He didn't stick around because he hated to share the spotlight with the GOAT, Jerry Rice. Let's keep our facts straight.

Actually yeah, even without him we would have won that Super Bowl. I know I am in the minority here, but honestly I think Deion got by on name value alone that year. The reason we were so dominant on D was that Deion basically took half the field, leaving Hanks, McDonald, and Davis to cover the rest. Teams were so scared to throw Deion's way, so they often threw into double coverage instead.

But the one game that the QB did decide to challenge Deion (I want to say It was the Bears, but don't quote me - but either way it was not a strong passing team) they made several completions against him. He looked out of position a few times and just slow to react at others. It was like he had gotten so used to people not throwing his way, he had gotten lazy.

Actually Dana Hall was a scrub and a bust, and always was. Drakeford was a decent back-up that got better after he went to the Saints.

BUT you did forget ERIC DAVIS who really should have gone to the Pro Bowl for the way he played that year!
Good vid.

Funny though - even someone like him (who wasn't known as a super rough type of guy) got away with so much after 5 yards - harassing the WR.

Today you can't do half of what he did to harass the WR.

Even in today's WR-friendly rules, Jerry Rice's records won't be stopped! All hail!

What if Jerry played at his prime in today's rules?
One of the biggest mistakes in Niner history was not giving him the money he wanted. They would have won it again if they kept him.
There was no way he wanted to stay. Jerry and Steve were too big.
