The NFL suspended New York Jets linebacker Calvin Pace for four games without pay Thursday for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Pace will miss the Jets' first four games of the 2009 season and is eligible to return for their Monday Night Football game at Miami on Oct. 12.
In a statement issued by the Jets, Pace said the ban is a result of him taking an over-the-counter dietary supplement that he was unaware violated the NFL's policy.

There must have been some residue of cardinal left in him. Maybe Arizona is completely out of his system now and he will straighten up.

The old "I didn't know it was a banned substance" excuse. Don't these guys have team doctors or agents that can make sure they don't take anything that is banned? How hard can it be? It's not like many of the banned substances are readily available over the counter. BTW, does anyone have that list. AB, I'm looking at you sir.

*Bump*
Ab where ya at?
I honestly don't get it, why do athletes even risk this s**t. Every yr a handful of guys get busted for this. Do they actually think they are that slick to where they can not get caught? It just amazes me.
