Barry Sanders. He was my favorite non-niner player in the 90s and I am pretty sure he went over 2000 once. It can't be Dickerson because record is 2150 or something like that, and he only reached 2000 once as far as I remember.
I thought of Jamal Lewis too, but 6.1 avg. sounds too high for him. I have to go with Barry Sanders.
