i tell them to watch the film. the LOS was the 10, bowman bumped him at the 5, he let go when the ball was in the air and knocked it down. even though i concede that the roughing call on kaep was pretty BS, still of course they just say i'm the homer........

I honestly dont get the hatred between the two teams...it is sad to see what they have become...I look at the Raiders as our little brother team, and I actually find myself rooting for them often..they are not our division rival or even in the same conference for that matter i.e Cowgirls, Fudgepackers, etc... Hope one day they will be relevant again, but it's not looking too bright for their future.

main reason i hate them is their fans

After only one season in charge of the Raiders and after going a respectable 8-8, the organization fired coach Hue Jackson after the 2011 season, and just like that, Jackson disappeared into the anonymous world of former coaches searching for assistant gigs (Jackson found a home, once again, in Cincinnati).

But while recently talking with Sports Illustrated's Jim Trotter, Jackson wondered what might have been if he had taken a job offered to him by late Raiders owners Al Davis in 2009.

That job: Raiders general manager.

Oakland already had hired Jackson as the team's offensive coordinator under then-head coach Tom Cable, but Davis apparently respected Jackson enough to offer him the GM job. Jackson told Trotter that the reason he didn't take the job was because he loved coaching too much.

"Jackson says he turned it down because his passion is coaching and working with players," Trotter writes. "He says he and Davis never discussed him taking the head coach position -- contrary to speculation that he accepted the coordinator position with an eye on the top job."

Eventually, of course, Davis hired Jackson for the head coaching job, but after he died and his son, Mark Davis, took over ownership, the Raiders hired GM Reggie McKenzie -- who then wanted to hire his own coach and released Jackson.

If Jackson had taken the GM job, Mark Davis, of course, still could have fired him and brought in his own general manager. But as we so often see, the coach is fired before the owner lets go of his GM. That means there's a pretty decent chance Jackson would still be the Raiders GM if he had accepted Al Davis' offer in the first place.

None of us are playing. Let the teams win with class.

You have no idea about the 49ers and raiders rivalry by proximity. Being in the Bay Area, fans of both teams are obviously in each other's presence. You get large amounts of fans of any two teams in any region and I guarantee you their fans will hate each other.

Hopes and dreams. They lost hopes and dreams.
Yesterday I drove past the oracle arena and where the A's and Raiders play. I felt bad yet I then realized there has to be bad in order to have good. Thank you Oakland, for your failure, so the 49ers can be seen in a positive light. Well, the rest of the NFL can be seen in a positive light as long as the Raiders are as bad as they continue to be.

He's right. I may only live in VA but it makes sense. It's like living in between Chapel Hill and Duke.
Hahahaha, I am from San Jose and went to school with a ton of Raidahs and Chokeland A's fans. I don't get what makes either fan base such idiots by proximity?? A's fans are just like a jealous little brother of the Giants, and the Raider fans can't go a day without a slur or something stupid about the 49ers. It's like when you go to a Raiders game it isn't even a football. Their fans are to f**king stupid to understand the game, and they rather be in a mosh pit somewhere in Oakland probably watching Machine Head.
Niner fans don't need to worry about Raider fan. Even Raider fan knows the Raiders are horrible and are going to be horrible for the foreseeable future. All Raider fan has now is his predictable and often repeated mantra about how Niner fans are bandwagoners and that one is just so old and tired that it's pathetic. Raider fan doesn't matter anymore. He's irrelevant. Now, Seahawk fan. That's another story.
Palmer refusing to take a pay-cut, what an idiot
