Shanahan has already said that he will not be replacing his DC. The Niners need to have stability and consistency. So., NO

And BTW, douchebag move telling the guy 10 minutes after the game he's fired. Jesus let everybody get home and tell him then. Poor guy was shook in the press conference, and understandably so.

Not one to typically defend the Raiders, but this isnt too uncommon. Happened in Indy today too.

NFL is one cold business. a couple of years ago it was #chuckstrong now they fired him as soon as the game ended.

So the Colts are supposed to keep an inferior coach because he had cancer? He probably should've been fired last year.

I felt bad for Del Rio, while watching the Presser.

Some of our fans crack me up, as soon as our players leave we hate them?

Crabtree, Bowman, and Kap helped us get to the Super Bowl! I will never forget what those guys did for us, even though they came up just short.

Look at the way they left though. You don't remember all of Crabtree's finger pointing and how he checked out when the team experienced some turmoil? Or how Sherman kept punking him, and calling both the team and Crabtree weak, and he just took it. He didn't fight back. I was so done with Crabtree when he left. And now reports are the Raiders are going to cut him in the offseason.

Because of the protest stuff, fans seem to have totally forgotten how smug Kaepernick got towards the end. He hadn't played great football in years, and was repeatedly criticized for not studying enough film, and being unprofessional with the media.

And obviously with Bowman, he let his pride cloud his judgement, and thought he was bigger than the team. It was all about HIS legacy, and how he deserved to play full time, even though it was hurting the team. Then he wanted to be traded, and was creating a bad locker room vibe.

All these guys were good Niners, until they weren't, and it was on them.

A lot of people were sour on Crabtree since the very beginning when he held out his rookie year. He was labeled as a diva and only played well for a short time.

Many were also done with Kap the year PRIOR to his protest stuff ever starting. The protests actually got people to be on his side despite his weak on-field performance. I was a Kap supporter until 2014 when it became apparent he was not going to progress. After that, was hoping he'd kick rocks so we could start the process of finding a real franchise QB. Also, let's not forget he opted out of his contract on his own - not that he had much of a chance in Shanahan's offense due to his inefficiencies on the field.

Bowman was always one of my favorites. Still hope the best for him. Meaning I hope he leaves the raiders ASAP. But he was the one that forced this situation, so I don't feel sorry for him.

Man looks like Gruden is pretty much a lock for them. Would be hilarious if he decided to just say "nah, gonna stick with ESPN".

If they really are offering ownership stake I think he goes

That would have to be approved by the other owners, and there's no way that will happen - nor should it. As soon as a weak owner like Mark Davis panicks and gives a coach a piece of the team, every other coach in the league will be looking for a piece of their respective teams. It's not going to happen.
Lol carr might get his feels hurt.
