Rice vs Fitz, anquan, holt, moss

Interesting comparisons!

If az had a running game their receptions wouldn't be as high I don't believe!

But I wouldn't mind any of our guys puttin up the numbers of the others neither
Player Games GS Rec Yards Avg TDs
Boldin 68 66 413 5,458 13.2 29
Fitzgerald 76 76 426 5,975 14.0 46
Holt 80 70 423 6,784 16.0 35
Moss 80 75 414 6,743 16.3 60
Rice 76 63 346 6,364 18.4 66

Nice job of compiling stats by a guy on a Cardinals fansite.
Rice's average, 18.4 yards per catch dominates the others. Too bad this guy had no clue that Rice's stats didn't really begin to take off until the 90's.
But you can't just take 5 years.....you gotta take the whole career. Rice kept producing on a high level consistently, I'd like to see the stats go more years and we'll see Rice pulling away
You can debate who was the greatest QB whoever played the game. You can debate who was the greatest RB whoever played the game. Heck, you can do that with every position in football except one, and that one is WR. There is no real argument against Jerry Rice being the GOAT WR, and it's as simple as that. Who knows, maybe one day someone will surpass him, but I doubt it. Jerry Rice is simply the GOAT WR who has ever played the game.

Yeah I thought so as well! I thought it was quite interesting as well. I honestly don't believe that fitz and bolden would have these numbers if they had a running game! They have been forced to do nothing but pass for yrs. But they do have 2 badass wr's no doubt! And jerry is the greatest of all time no doubt! But this is a decent list of wr's.

Yeah its pretty awesome that a man once nicknamed butter fingers accumulated 66 touchdowns in 5 yrs! 6 more then moss! And that's including the season of the strike! His total would have been quite a few more! Along with catch's, yards, etc!
