Tim Rattay 49ers Highlights. All 24 TDs with SF

some pretty nice throws to some, well as some would put it, "horrible WRs" (post T.O.)

now before the usual comments about 4qt INTs come up...there was a reason we always had to force passes in the 4qtr those years, but some seem to forget that and just slam Rattay. I'm not saying he was perfect, but some 9er fans seem to have selective memories when posting about the RAT MAN.

but either way, before this turns into a debate about Rattay and past (and present 9er QBs ).......lets just enjoy the video for what it is....nice plays by 49er players during an era we would like to forget.

The play I remember the most from Rattay is the Monday Nighter against the Steelers when he bombed one to a wide open T.O for TD, him and Kevan Barlow both had good games that night.

Personally I always liked Rattay, he was always highly underrated. His last game before being beched was a game that he almost won for us against a far superior playoff bound cowbuys team. If it weren't for a pass that was tipped at the line of scrimmage for an INT (not really his fault) we would have won. There wasn't anything to really not like about him, he wasn't a criminal, always nice to fans at TC.

after watching that video, i think we need to sign Tai Streets back

I've always felt this....but Rattay has a much stronger arm....but both are accurate, both spread the ball around, both have touch on their passes.... Hill is much bigger at 6'3" 220 compared to Rattay at 6' 200.......also Shaun seems to run with the ball for positive gain more so, when need be.

but I like both.

A lot of them were against the Rams and we were getting our butts kicked when the other ones happened.

I guess the current team is an improvement to you? Wow, at least I can remember the good ole days when things really suck, been a fan since early 70's.
