Wow... Patriots just keep getting everything in their favor. Raiders agreed to send DE Burgess for an undisclosed draft pick.

Reportedly it's a 3 and a 4 however if the Pats acquire a 5 (they have no 5th round picks currently) then it will be a 3 and a 5.

Philly supposedly was offering a 3 and a player.

Yeah, good pick up for the Patriots. Geez, go to Oakland and become frustrated, then go to NE and watch your career stats improve dramatically! It worked for Moss.

I almost forgot that they re-signed TBC. I guess he'll be a roster cut or if he makes it, ST only...haha.

Why didn't we make that trade. Seriously, that would be a major addition to the team. Haralso, Burgess, Lawson, and Brooks as our OLBs. I'd be real happy with that.

Look at it in a positive light, at least the Raiders are guaranteed to suck as long as he is around to give away players for draft picks he may never see come to fruition.

The Raiders trade a 31 year old player who is no longer in his prime and has never played in a 3-4 in the NFL for a 3rd and a 4th or 5th rounder and it's a fail ?

The guy did not want to be on this team anymore and they took what seemingly was the best offer on the table for a player who has missed 8 games the last 2 years and produced only 12 sacks in that time frame whereas his first 2 years with Oakland he had 27 sacks. Do you truly think they could have gotten any more for him ?

Once again people here hate on the Raiders just because when in fact the Raiders got excellent value in this deal regardless of whether Burgess resurrects his career with the Pats or not. Hate on me all you want for defending them but I call it like I see it.
