Smith's representatives met with the Browns at the NFL Combine in February to determine whether or not the Browns wanted to keep him in light of the incident.

No we're not going to sign him, I think the club is fine with Franklin, Sopoaga and Balmer sharing time at the Nose.

Woa. That gives a whole new meaning to the term nose tackle...

No, hes really not.

Yes he is.

He's average. I think we'd show interest in him if Franklin or Sopoaga were to suffer a serious injury in camp.

Look for the Broncos to seriously go after him though. Ronald Fields is not an ideal starting NT, and the rest of their 3-4 DL is very inexperienced.

Personally I think he is a good player to fill depth and use as a rotational piece along the DL and could help provide good competition HOWEVER his off the field incident with Quinn and the fact that he was pulled off the field in TC the day before being released for loafing makes me not so sure on what kind of teammate he is and raises red flags about his work ethic.

Denver is a definite possibility as is KC who also seem to lack experienced and capable bodies up front for their 3-4.

True, but Eric Mangini is a horrible head coach. A change of scenery could help his career out.
A guy that can't even make it with the Browns. Those guys are hard to come across! SIGN HIM!

Based on watching him play? Or by looking at his size, stats and 09 madden rating? The guy was let go from a terrible Bengals' D* and helped anchor an even worse defense in Cleveland.

*The Bengals failed to match the Browns' RFA offer of 4 years, 8 mil. Seriously, the Bengals, with no stars at DT, didnt think he was worth 2 mil a year.

He also got into a weight room right with the starting QB, which culminated with him punching the already injured QB in the face and throwing a weight at him.

LETS SIGN HIM.

I know absolutely zero about him, I just wanted to start a fight and disagree with someone. I know he is a loud mouth and fat ass.

Perfect!
Free agent DL Shaun Smith reportedly got into an argument with Browns DLs coach Bryan Cox during Friday's practice. Smith was cut Saturday morning.
Smith was allegedly moving lackadaisically before drills, prompting Cox to say, "Come on, dog, you're walking on me." Cox continued to rebuke Smith for half-hearted effort in practice. The new Browns staff had already put Smith on notice, telling him to "shape up and shut up" early in the offseason.

Didn't know B-COX was coaching, and why on the D-Line?, huh I wonder, we he did blitz a lot.
