WTF? Why is Michael Irvin a HOFer???

Shop 49ers game tickets
He was a hated Cowboy, but he was a great WR....he belongs in the HOF. What I don't get is how he stays employed on the NFL Network.
I hated him when he was a Cowboy...arrogant, obnoxious, disgusting...but beyond all that he absolutely used to kill us. He was a WR who wasn't afraid to go over the middle...he was tough, fought for the ball and was arguably Aikman's favorite target. His off-field drug issues provided more fodder to hate him...lousy role model, et al. I'd agree, he's not a very good analyst...still too much bravado for my taste. As a player, though, he deserves to be in the HOF.

OK. Now explain to me why Roger Craig isn't in the HoF?

The Fumble

Exactly :( If he just wasn't even in on that play, he'd be in the HOF.

and there was that questionable Deion-Irvin play that may have even kept the 9ers out of the bowl in 94. Thankfully, 49ers finally caught a break.

Go look at Lynn Swann's stats.

How many Super Bowls does Roger Craig have?
It's the rings... He is good enough to be in the HOF but so are many other players that were even more dominant at their position than he was. He benefited from one of the best O lines in history and a RB everyone had to game plan towards (who also benefited from that O line). Was he more dominant at his position than Willis or Boseli? Hell naw, but he played for the cowboys and just like the old steelers, if you were above average with some stats you get into the HOF.

His stats were dominant from 91 to 96 on a run first team. He deserves it.

Would have been 4 but he fumbled that away. Hence, reason why he's not in the hall
Fun fact: He stabbed a teammate in the neck with some scissors and almost killed him in a cocaine fueled rage. Jurry pulled some strings to make it go away.

Went from nearly going to prison to being inducted into the HOF.

Have to admit, he has one of the best nicknames in football. Hate the cowboys, but Irvin showed up for big games.

The playmaker? Pretty lame nickname imo. Its just another cliche. Like calling a player "the beast."

And even if Eddgerin
The Playmaker could play. Why is this even a question? Same for Edgerrin James. MY GOD, any of us would have taken him back in his prime.
