Burress was an idiot for bringing a gun to a club and then shooting himself (hasn’t he heard of a holster). However to punish the guy for 20 months is ridiculous. NY has to reevaluate the law so the judge has a little bit more leeway on sentencing.
This whole thing is similar to the 3 strikes law. Some poor slob shop lifts, commits a petty theft, get busted for smoking a joint and because that is his third strike goes to San Quentin for 5-10. There has to be some changes. 3 strikes needs to be applied to the hard core crimes not some guy caught smoking a joint 3 times.

f**k Clubbers, this man doesn't have to go to jail because of some pink haired grease heads are a bunch of b***hes.
The man is a celebrity, and he's obviously gonna get a lot of attention when going out, bad and good, he has to be prepared.

Yes
They need to suck it up and realize that the kind of fun they are having and the money comes with consequences, people might die.
In most cases when people die they weren't having fun that night, these guys need to sacrifice too
