Deion did like playing in SF. He didn't like just being a member of a defense that took a back seat to the offense.

Its probably because when he signed with Dallas, Carmen Policy said "we would never pay that much for a part time player"

Policy treated Deion like Steve, Watters, Rice, Norton, and Deion wanted to be the front man. Plus Policy would never pay Deion like Jerry did then put him in all the stupid Cowboy commercials with Pizza Hut.
FYI Deion lives in a Dallas suburb called Prosper (40 miles from Downtown) and while appreciates the Niners he is a Cowboy and bleeds Cowboy blue. Yea he spent a lot of time with Crabtree which should tell you what we are going to be dealing with.
Bottom line I would not be surprised if Crabtree isn’t try to maneuver things so he can become a Cowboy which is his favorite team since he grew in Dallas worshipping Irvin.

The 9ers, especially back then, were all about the team and success and not about individual glory for players. That's the exact opposite of what Sanders wanted. He wanted to be the face of the organization, and I guess he even thought he was a bigger deal than Jerry Rice - apparently they didn't get on with each other. So I guess Sanders felt under appreciated by the 9ers and had a deep simmering hatred of them for not worshipping him. I also remember reading back in the day that he never wore his 49ers Super Bowl ring once he went to cowgirl land and even after he left them.

Wow, the fact that Deion is such an influence on Crabtree explains a lot. I guess I haven't followed the situation too closely since I had no idea, but Deion is a guy that has no reputation to lose a and loves to talk. What's unfortunate is that Crabtree has a ton to lose and evidently isn't smart (or old enough) to remember that Deion proved himself in the pros before playing the 'Show Me The Money' game (although he always had a ridiculous ego and I loved it when Jerry Rice torched him).

I remember Deion saying "the 94 SF 49ers where the best/talented team he has ever played on".

deion is a piece of s**t. he's just stirring up problems for the 49ers in negotiations with punk ass crabtree. if he wants to hold out let him hold out, i say if it comes down to that, the 49ers should trade him to detroit for dirt cheap just to f**k his career up, they seem to like idiots who play WR there

I say after the season trade him to Dallas and Jerry Jones would welcome him with open arms. Hell I would be satisfied with a 2nd rounder for him to just get him the f**k away from us.
