f**kING WOW. Great f**king move by Oakland, Seymour and Ellis should certainly help that front 7 vs both the run and pass.

How the #$## does NE get these deals done? NE must have two or three thugs negotiate these sweetheart deals.

You're not taking into account that Seymore is in the last year of his contract, which means that the Patriots can get Seymore back next year after he realizes that "the grass isn't always greener on the other side".

Still a great move, and there's no guarantees Seymour would wanna go back there after being traded. Can't wait till McCloughan gets ballsy like that, and trade for Wilfork or Peppers.

I don't honestly think McCloughan is ballsy enough to do that...

I think it was apparent that they were going to have choose between Wilfork and Seymour this offseason. Why not jump the gun and get a 1st rounder for him.

I highly doubt any player would want to stay in that organization for more than 1 year. Then again, money talks.

You've got to hand it to NE, they always come out on top in these types of trades. They get a potential very early first round pick from the idiots across the Bay for someone who is in his final year thus ensuring continued infusion of great young talent to their team.

WHat a desperate move by the Raiders, Seymour is on the decline and trade a 1st rd pick which will likely be a top 10 and probably top 5 pick in 2011, just stupid. But then again, Al Davis probably figures he will be dead by then so he don't give a f&^%

Giving up your 1st (in a strong draft) for a one year rental?
I could understand if it was a contending team, but the raiders arent even there yet.

I think the great move goes to NE personally. I just don't see Seymore signing a new long term contract with Oakland next year, do you???
I wouldn't mind if we got Wilfork as long as it doesn't cost us too much !!!
