sorry bro, but this is a ridiculous thread. there's no doubt in any NFL fan's mind that Urlacher will be around for another 4-5 years. he's been playing at an all-pro level since he first arrived in the league and his game has never changed

Over one season ending injury? That would be rediculous. The guy is still a great player and a great leader for that team so theres no way he'll retire now.

Should Montana have retired after having season ending back surgery?

If anybody has the chance to make 5 million dollars a year, hell no they shouldn't retire.

better question would be
should the bears trade him during the offseason
he hasnt been healthy these past couple of years and his production will probably start to go down when he returns.

I saw a video once of Urlachers Worst plays.....boy there was a crap load of them. A friend of a friend made it, he is a Bears fan and a big Urlacher hater.
When you really want to separate the great players from the good ones, try to make a "lowlight" reel on them, if you are finding it hard to collect enough samples to make an honest tape, then you probably found one of the greats.
Homie had a 30 minute vid on Urlacher, and this was a couple of seasons ago.
He is a good LB, nothing more, should he retire? Yes. WIll he? No.

He's going to have to make that decision, and I'm sure he's going to play a few more years.

Why should he retire? If he comes to camp and outperforms everyone else at the position then whats the problem?
Urlacher is still a good LB. I believe he has been a bit overrated in the past but he's still better then average.

I think he's a good LB, and probably has another 4 or 5 years left. As to why he get's the media kudos, it's because he is the MLB in the "Monsters of the Midway".
He can thank Bill George, Dick Butkus and a few others for that.
