When we drafted Alex Smith we signed the best OT Free Agent (Jennings) Drafted Baas in the 2nd round and Snyder in the 3rd round same year. Also had Smiley on the roster, guess we will be going for something similar again next offseason?

Hopefully much better results though

They have another son but he doesn't play football.... yet

bring him in!! I think I saw him in on a MNF game once, sitting in the box with his parents. Guess he played college ball but got hurt or something. He's officially the loser brother. I'll still take him.

True. It was also a pass Edwards should have caught - that part was overlooked in all the hoopla. Cleveland fans were probably noticing that as well - Edwards makes a couple of great catches and then drops an easier one.

Five years $25 million. Not dirt cheap but nowhere near a Steve Hutchinson/Faneca type contract.

Letting Smiley leave has proven to be the worst personnel decisions Nolan/McCloughan made. I know the Smith haters may not agree but history has now clearly shown losing Smiley has been the worst. Miami fan boards love the guy. He is the leader of that line and been a great mentor to Jake Long. To have him here now mentoring Chilo Rachal would likely have made Rachal's development much better.

Absolutely... our O Line is appalling

I agree but instead of drafting I think we should make some pick ups in FA, specifically at the guard spots. The Jets signed Faneca to a big money deal and it worked out. The Phins signed Smiley from us and that's working out for them. Our former guards Kosier, Smiley, and there's another one, are out there starting for other teams while we're stuck with a slug like Baas and Chilo isn't playing well either.

Sometimes players don't give a crap and play s**tty. They get sent to a better team at get serious because they are in a serious playoff hunt. Same thing happened to Randy Moss after leaving Oakland. He couldn't f**k around in NE with the team trying to win Super Bowls.

Some of these players are idiots and some are just emotional competitors. Pacman Jones, Plaxico Burres, Micahel Vick, and Ricky Williams are all idiots.

Edwards, Moss, and guys like TO are just human and get emotional. The Media and fans just blow it out of proportion.
