Doesn't it feel good that the day Smith finally gets his chance to shine after all the scrutiny, injury, and multiple OCs, he comes in in the 2nd half and throws 3 TDs and give hope for the rest of the 49er season
AND
Jamarcus gets benched bc of his poor play.
Smith - 15/22, 206 yards, 3 TDs
Russel - 6/11, 61 yards, 2 INTs

Russel sucks and will be out of the league in 2 years, and Smith might never be great(I still think there's a chance) but he will be a decent backup.

it feels even better to watch all the Niner fans on this board who had been chanting "Alex Leaf" go into hiding, or all the sudden pretend they love smith now.
i told everyone why common sense said smith could still be good, but nooooooo.
but yeah, i have a raider fan friend who conceded that smith looked really good, but "has to do it again, and the houston d wasnt ready for him so it was easier"

I’ve noticed that too. Raiders fans were always totally unrealistic in the past, but I guess there’s no mistaking a steaming pile for … well … a steaming pile. I would feel bad for them, after all, no one deserves Al Davis, but they just have too much bad karma stored up for me to do so.

one of my Raider friends has accepted that Davis is gonna be alive for another 30 years because his mom lived to be 103, and that's not a good thing for the franchise.

I have a Raider fan brother who is seriously considering converting into a Niner fan. We may finally be able to welcome him back into the family.

My girlfriend turned from Raider fan to Bay Area fan.. Unfortunately for her, neither team is looking too good right now, so it's frustrating for the both of us..
(Sports-wise that is..)
