Can anyone cover this guy? If he keeps playing like this, the way he is playing right now for about 4 more years and average 75 catches, 1200 yards and 10 TD, he might break some of Jerry Rice's record. Another reason to not like the Patriots. I tip my hats to them. They are really fun to watch. Tom Brady and Randy Moss equals greatness. It is so frustrating why can't the Niners find superstars like them. Sorry just frustrated.

I hate his guts.

I don't like his guts too but there is no denying that he is great. With the exception of his attitude, you can argue that he is better than Jerry Rice.

I hate when people say stuff like that. He COULD have been better, but he wasn't. Moss homers only argue about "could have, should have" scenarios.

what records are we talking? Certainly not yards or TDs. He'd need to play a lot longer than 4 years for that.
What I meant about attitude stuff is that people would always bring up his off field attitude or me me attitude to downplay his career or accomplishments. Just look at the stats and tell me he is not good.

We have a Montana > Brady topic, now we'll have a Rice > Moss topic.

Maybe TDs. I think he has about 146 right now if I am not mistaken. Ok maybe not 4 years, but sometimes you never know. He scored 23 TDs two years ago.
He is clearly a better WR than Jerry was in terms of ability. If Randy Moss was on the 49ers instead of Rice we would have won more.

Rice was an amazing player and his longevity and consistent quality were key to the 49ers. But Moss may be the best WR of all time. Its just like RB's today are better than before (Gore > Craig for example).
Moss>>>>>>>>>Owens I wish we woulda gave Oakland a 3rd or a 2nd for him a few years ago. f**k that was such a lopsided trade to the Patriots.

Could not say it any better. Thank you.

Based on what? The fact that he likes to catch balls over the middle take a hit, or take 2 yard passing plays and turn into 80 yard TD's; or his exemplary work ethic in his last days in Minnesota or in Oakland, cause we all know how Randy never takes plays off.

And today's running backs are better than the backs of old? I would say guys like Walt and Jim Brown among the plethora of great past backs could play in any era.

i still consider Rice to be the greatest WR of all time. It's going to take a lot to convince me otherwise.
