Honestly good ridence. His hearts been gone long before kaps play dropped off. Love him for that playoff run but he hasn't been trying for a long time.

Kam Chancellor stole his heart and his soul. He's never been the same since.

assume the fans in denver are pretty happy with this,, like we were when we got boldin?

We got Boldin for a full year before we had to resign him, gave only one pick (didn't have to swap a 6th for a 7th), and Boldin was actually good before we traded for him. Davis has been garbage for 2+ seasons, refuses to catch anything that isn't perfectly placed on his chest (polar opposite of Boldin), and still likes to drop passes that are (also not Boldin). Working Vernon Davis, a poor route runner, into Peyton Manning's system without an offseason isn't gonna be easy either.

stopped caring when i saw this was a Baalke statement.
see 808 this is the thing. with their actions or inactions they have created a huge discord not to mention anger with the fan base. I swear the people in suits are not even aware of this, they look at things in a different world. i would love to ask trent or jed at a press conference if they are aware or even understand how angry and upset the fans are. i would not ask them if ck will get benched or if jt will return. i really really think they have no clue how much of a disconnect they have all created. i have no point here other than to say i understand exactly why you said that..... its like,,, OH ALL THESE CHANGES ARE COMING,,. then nothing,, then its like OH WE ARE WORKING OUT THOMAS AND SOME CENTER. then nothing... now talk about the running back tomorrow... they have known the o line has been garbage all year and yet NOTHING. can we blame people like 808 for tuning out the powers to be and believing nothing they say

i was just thinking about this too...... even if in a couple years we put back together a solid team..... say Willis and AD come back and rescue the organiation, and we get Goff and he turns out to be the next Aaron Rodgers out of Cal....

i'll still have that question in the back of my mind wondering if Baalke's ego will tear apart the team..... or if Jed will get tired of spending money on championship calliber players.....

if i were a reporter, the first question i'd ask jed york if he ever decides to put his face on the podium again, "Are the 9ers still profitable for you and your family this season?"

I'm a little surprised the Niners didn't try to get a player from an undefeated team. This is the finalbsign that they're in tank mode.

we snookered two sixth round picks from those guys. Wow. what a win for us.

The real trade was offloading 2m salary. Thanks for investing in our season Jed.

offloading 2mil in salary with a cap that we already have space in. Aren't we something like 13mil under the cap space? Is Jed somehow trying to find a way to use that cap space as revenue or something? I mean I really don't think he cares about this team. If there is some BIG plan that he has or trent has....they need to shed some light on it because fans are fed up.

Well Vernon just makes them better and they already have the best defense in the NFL who pretty much shut down Rodgers. Niners might as well just have a firesale. Trade everyone who has talent for draft picks.

So who gets traded next? Staley? He'll have some value.

Staley's contract doesn't expire in a few months. Vernon wasn't going to come back, you could either trade him now for some low picks, or have him get 20-30 yards a game and then walk for absolutely nothing after the season ended.

I'm pissed they didn't trade him after the 2013 season when we could've got something for him.

Aren't you the guy who also said we should've traded Kaepernick after 2012 too? How easy it is to trade in hindsight. You could be Billy Beane and trade everyone when they get good.

thats the same website that said vince wilfork was 325. The niners website used to say anthony davis was 325. lol. those numbers are based on their combine weigh-ins if im not mistaken. Most guys add 10-15 pounds when they enter the nfl/

Okay then bell must be a little bigger than 252 if the websites are off a little

Do you not realize unused salary space rolls over? This is like NFL common sense.
thanks for the good times Vern! dude was one of my favorite players but he hasnt been here the last few years. His monster game against the saints in the playoffs with Alex Smith will always be one of my favorite games of all time. best of luck Vernon. shame that the team has come to this but its a smart move for both the niners and vernon

Some of it does. Not sure what the max is.
Davis finally going to get a ring, maybe two.

With the way that defense abused Aaron Rodgers and a very good Green Bay OL, it looks like Manning is finally going to beat Brady and Bad Bill.

I know it rolls over but they could have used it to sign an impact player or something for this season.
We gave him away.... Admittedly I know little about these kinds of dealings, but this doesn't seem to help us at all.

Unless someone could explain how this is beneficial to us, I feel like baalke got bullied into trading him for nothing based on our mismanagement on offense, instead of his potential, knowing damn well he's going to see a big spike in performance in denvers scheme

Can we legitimately get VDs equal in talent for what we traded him for? Nope

I sensed that too. Personally I think that KO he got from Kam Chancellor changed him.
