Its like seeing ALL of your ex's flaws and boy was he flawed. Please add suspect blocking.

I've lost all respect for Vernon at this point. To come out and blame his poor play over the past couple seasons because of the "turmoil" is stupid. I hope he gets lit up when he steps on the field again.

I think his lack of effort came as of result of him trying to preserve himself for his shareholders. He also seemed more interested in his off the field exploits. It all actually correlates with his drop off.
People are hating on Davis like they did to Crabtree.
Crabtree is producing
Now Davis will too
Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane
Now that he's been traded I guess he doesn't feel like he is in any way partially responsible for the team's current predicament. If I was local, then I'd boycott his Jamba Juice stores. He has been collecting a paycheck in absentia since last season's opener.
I don't think he will contribute much and I don't think he cares. He'll still likely get a ring this year, the way Denver is looking. The only team I see that might stop them is NE, and Denver looks the better team.

the problem with crabtree wasn't that he wasn't producing. it was that he couldnt stay healthy to contribute consistently. on top of that, crabtree burned the bridge with us.
Vernon Davis is such a f*ge. And yes, I mean Yogurt....
Vernon, you're acting like a spoiled turd toward the team that drafted you. He's showing no class whatsoever. He's partly responsible for the Niner's decline...what a turd.
Soft ass fool likes talking bad about us now

How did Crabtree burn the bridge if the 49ers offered more money but he picked the Raiders instead? If anything Crabtree didn't like how Kaepernick prepared/studied for the season/games. Since his comment was he wanted a QB who can make all the throws and takes football as serious as he did
its that run first offense mentality.. receivers want to go to a team that throws the ball 30-40 times.. they can produce numbers then and there.. alex and colin were throwing 20-25 per game...
Vernon cant handle fast ballzzz

Manning doesnt need Luck, hes made average TE's look like pro bowlers for years. Im sure he will get VD involved & once again an ignorant fan base will be proven wrong.

He still has speed & a knack for getting open. This is another huge loss for this franchise. VD was a captain, a leader, obviously he had a poor attitude towards the end but he was one of the only impact players left on the roster. This season could not have gone any worse for the 49ers losing Aldon, Vernon, Kap(the kap we knew) after the mass exodus of veterans & coaches. I hope all of you homers that were cheerleading for Harbaugh to be fired are happy,

"Impact players" make an impact. When was the last time VD did that? It hasn't been at all this season or last. Not since he put his "brand" before his team. He has never had good hands, and has always been a liability in key situations. Since slimming down some, he has become a non-factor as a blocker - the one area he used to excel at. He has speed still, but no not a "knack for getting open". And again, not a leader - leaders don't put their "brand" before the team.

Whether or not he contributes anything in Denver, this is in no way a loss for us. Good riddance to garbage - both as a player, and a person.
Seems there may have been some truth to gores comments abouts Vernon not loving the game anymore.

Had Vernon went on his way and kept his mouth shut I would have had no problem. But he wants to sit there and act like everyone else around him was the issue. Both Alex and Kap gave him career years. If he can't appreciate that then it proves even further how selfish this dude is.
