benson has to be the front runner but smith could very well be the comeback player of the year if we win a few more games. he was injured the last two years, benson just sucked with the bears.

Vince Young has a shot at it too.

Alex Smith and Vince Young has a 0% chance of winning this.
Front runners depending on ho they finish.
QB: Tom Brady (Carson Palmer runner up)
WR: Ochocinko (though Sidney Rice should be the #1 WR in the category)
RB: Cedric Benson (though personally i'd put Ricky Williams above him)
TE: Vernon Davis (losing team. 0% chance to win it)
DEF: Darren Sharper or Elvis Dumerville
Winner by a landslide. Tom Brady!

I don't think it will be. It'll likely go to someone with a more interesting story than best qb is out for a while, comes back, and is still one of the best. I'd guess Benson or Vince Young. (Go Texas!)

I cant see why anyone would say Alex Smith. If Im not mistaken dont you have to COME back to be great. Alex was never great to start with. If anything he should be mentioned with the most improved category.
