Why does Mooch hate us still?

Tonight on the postgame of the Colts/Jags game, they had a playoff bubble thing with teams on the bubble and he got all excited to pop ours. Practically orgasmed himself. I know York kind of screwed him over, but it seems kind of petty that he still hates us after Donahue's gone, and like 7 years later, with a whole different roster, and he still doesn't like us? Maybe it's nothing but the guy never gives us any love and while we were stupid for firing him it's annoying to see another guy hate on us on TV.

Deion was egging him on. He was saying "get them back for firing you", or something like that. I don't think there's any bad blood there. They were just hamming it up.

Actually, I think Mooch still has great respect for the 49ers. He's an analyst. If that's his position on us, so be it.

Your logic as to why he still hates us makes no sense. Why does Steve Young still love us? Our team is entirely different (including the owner) than what he had.

I think he would love the fact that we've had zero success since he got fired.

Its his opinion and our chances are very slim.

Now bear with me here, but maybe he is just smart
Anyone who has predicted the Niners miss the playoffs has been right for 7 years now.
Maybe he just knows the NFL pretty well, seems more likely than him somehow "hating" the SF 49ers brand??

well we told him to f**k off for taking us to the playoffs. I would hate this team too.

I wonder why he hasn't been an NFL head coach again...

too soft. The idea was he would only succeed on a finesse type of team that was already playoff ready and in no need of a disipinarian. At that time no team that fit that profile needed a new HC, then he became irrelevant after a few years
NV totally corrected me.
Gee I am getting old. OK what I described above was the notion about Mooch right after SF, then that notion was somewhat validated in DET.

Actually, unfortunately, he was a head coach again in the NFL. He was the head coach of the Lions with Matt Millen choosing his talent.
Only that could be worse than Terry Donahoe and the early Yorks.

That would make anyone sour on being an NFL head coach.
