I'd love to see Blaine Gabbert (Rams fans love him...from Mizzou)...tear apart the Rams for years to come.

Sign me up as well. I'm always gonna be skeptical of these young QBs that shoot up draft boards, but for now, I really like what I see of Gabbert. With no decent QBs on our roster now, we almost force ourselves to draft a 1st round QB. The only three I view as likely Franchise QBs are Luck, Mallett, and Gabbert.

4 years in the spread? naw...I'll pass
just an Alex Smith 2.0 and that is all
If Harbaugh would be so great at developing Blaine, than why not let him develop ALex SMith?

Because we all know about Alex's limitations, and him being damaged by 6-7 offensive coordinators. We need to sign a vet and develop someone for the long term.
I was very impressed by Gabbert in the bowl game hid int noy withstanding. If he could get the hang of dropping back he might be okay. The impending Harbaugh hire would give me even more confidence. He kid reminds me Ben Roethlisberger. He big tough and puts the ball right on the numbers. I think he could really be something special with the right coaching.

And Newton!
I had to Oldman, just had to.
I agree about Gabbert after rewatching that bowl game cause I taped it. Went out to find more vids on him.
I like what he can bring to the table and his football IQ meets the WCO criteria. I wouldn't be upset with this kid. However, I believe he will be gone by #5 to AZ or #3 to Buffalo.
JMO.

Blaine Gabbert has a good arm. he can run. he has nice tools for playing Qb in the NFL. what worries me about him is he never was asked to read the defense like he will need to in the NFL. Because he is in the spread He dosn't have read the defenses in the spread. He reads One WR or Half the Defenses, and YES that is what Alex Smith did in collage too. can he adjust to a pro style???

From WalterFootball Mock:
San Francisco 49ers: Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri
With a new coaching regime in San Francisco, the 49ers will be targeting a quarterback early in the 2011 NFL Draft. They'll take whomever they like best between Cam Newton, Ryan Mallett, Blaine Gabbert and Jake Locker.
Gabbert is constantly out of shape, terribly inaccurate and the product of a gimmick offense. But because of his size, arm strength and upside, he's widely considered to be a top-10 prospect. I give up.
IMO I wouldn't take any QB in this draft with a top 10 pick.

Lol what?! I know of Gabbert. I never really hung w/ him consistently...he's from Ballwin, MO...about 45 minutes of him..but I know the guy...he's very FAR from out of shape. Not to mention I've attended plenty of Mizzou games to watch the guy. That is completely false...and the accuracy? Um...check out the Nebraska video in the original post...and thats when he was younger..he chose Mizzou over Nebraska and has improved his accuracy since then.
