Say what you want about the Seahawks, but Im glad RWilson has at least shown the world, that being on a very talented team means living up to a very high standard and dealing with much much more pressure to win than the rest. Most Qbs cant handle the pressure, Cam being one of them already.

Not to mention that joke of a division he plays in and having a better Defense than Kap two years ago when Kap raped him in the playoffs.

it is worth it when u consider the lack of good qbs out there. there arent 32 starting qbs that are good enough in the world. so when you get one who is good you have to pay them. you cant really use the template for other positions that you do for qbs.

I agree with that, but $60 mil in guaranteed money is what an elite QB gets. I'm just saying the media has already decided this guy is an elite QB and his numbers aren't as good as Kaepernick's. Some people around here were pretending Kaepernick didn't deserve his much more team-friendly deal, but I don't see the same people saying squat about Newton's deal.

I have never heard anybody in the media call Cam elite or even top 10 for that matter. And even so why are you so concerned about what the media thinks? All these guys are cashing in. The media isn't paying them

Granted, that looks bad, but sus got under his skin, and people say foolish things when they are irritated. If he's been reading sus's stuff for as long as he claims, he should have known that that's not going to hurt or stop any of the comments that frustrate him. Rather, dude is just going to play victim and ramp up his game even more, if he even bothers to respond. Sus has his game DOWN; posters seeking to take him to task need to bring more than insults.

Yeah, even if they have him play out his deal this year (I still doubt that will happen), they're gonna hurt over this one. I also can't see him accepting the usual Seattle extension, where you get no new money until the actual end of your existing deal.

additionally the term elite is so subjective. maybe to 1 guy its means top 5, and to another it means top 10. i havent heard anyone put cam above the consensus top 5 or so qbs. he is in that tier with wilson, kap and all of the other young qbs. depending on what style you like and team you root for determines kind of where you place them

the going rate for pretty good qb play is around 20 mil per, its retarded and got out of hand a few years back. but when it comes to your teams cap many fans would like to see their guy sign for less to keep other players. you can go to seahawks.net and see fans that think wilson should take in between 12-15 mil per season, and thats a guy with a sb ring, whether you think he was the reason they won or not. we also had an extremely talented roster, unlike a lot of the teams who gave their qbs mega deals. so that factors in aswell. it wasnt so much about what kap is worth, it was what he is worth if we want to keep our guys. now a lot of guys have moved on so its not really that much of a big deal now. but it was when you factored in trying to keep those guys.

Kaps not in Cams league. We had cam and we'd probably have that sixth.
