Lol one has nothing to do with the other? Then why is it the most homer of fans in NT are in here right after michigan falls behind in a game or loses? Even those who claim to not watch college ball

Because it's a current Jim Harbaugh thread in real time and that has nothing to do with what what happened after he left here. NT is devoted to real time 49er stuff too.

Lol

With all due respect NC....b******t. Jim has not fallen off a cliff. As others have said, this was expected this year and they were still sitting at top 25 going into yesterday's game. I get you don't like him , but come on.

I'm sorry, it's college. He's had great recruiting and he has total control and given everything he needs. Why was it expected Michigan wouldn't be a top 25 team? I think THAT is B.S.

Jim Harbaugh was brought in to win or compete for national championships. Period. And he hasn't come close.

Again....b******t. They absolutely have been competing for championships since he came aboard. Your problem is you tend to hold JH to a different, unreasonable standard because you have an issue with him as a coach

I seem to be the one going off college standards I have no idea what you're arguing off of. This isn't just said about JH and that's why I showed you Saban. Year 4 is when his recruits are mature, polished players that's why that is the bar.

There's some room for criticism because he lost winnable games with a senior team last year but no one expected a good season this year. Coaches aren't going to throw excuses or act like the sky is falling like some of you guys.

Yeah, in college, if you have a top defense and one top recruit on offense like a QB or RB like Barkley, you can instantly compete for a championship.

With spread offenses today, X's and O's mostly only come into play when talent is matched. And that is when Jim gets pwned...

They had top 10 recruiting classes twice in Hokes tenure. Not developing said talent doesn't mean it isn't there.

Jake Butt doesn't get hurt he's a first rounder.

That counts defense too. You got 1 tight end in what will be 3 years. You're obviously wrong unless you want to show me a great offense with no line, rb, wr, qb but a good tight end.

Shocking u dont see the irony in being the biggest baalke homer (sucks that thread was deleted for your gems in there) who also doesnt watch college ball, but yet is in here seconds after they lose. U been so wrong on the niners that your only angle is attacking harbaugh in college even tho u dont watch college ball.

Standards? So he wasn't brought in to compete for national championships and even win one?

I'm pretty sure when Michigan gave him NFL coaching money, total control and every resource he needed to succeed, Michigan wasn't thinking, "Well, as long as he hovers around the top 25, he's done his job."

They aren't my standards.

...another detract.

I didn't know 9-2 with a loss to OSU was contending for the title. That seems more like last year's UM team.

At Stanford he had one great qb and a bunch of late round guys. His highest pick other than Luck was a guard. Harbaugh has never developed elite skill players. Occasionally he'll do good with a TE like Ertz or Butt.

So they haven't been competing? And yes, it's very clear that you hold JH to different standards. but you are entitled to your opinion...no matter how wrong it is

QB is a skilled position and one of actual impact. Harbaugh developed him. Nice try though.

It's all good. Again, they aren't my standards. But no matter how much of a fan you are of him, you should probably admit he's not meeting those standards this year. And his patterns are well documented as noted in the past couple of pages. No need to move goal posts. He is what he is. He's a good HC and probably the best kick-starter coach there is...high floor, low ceiling. He can only take you so far.
