"Honestly, Jim Harbaugh was trying to do basically everything in his power to get the deal done to make me stay," Walker, 33, said on a conference call Tuesday from Tempe, Ariz. where the Titans are practicing this week. "But I don't think the GM (general manager Trent Baalke) saw the same picture as Jim Harbaugh at that time. So I realized it was time for me to go somewhere else and show everybody how good I can be at the No. 1 spot, and that's what I've been doing so far."

The 49ers have since traded both Davis and McDonald while Walker remains one of the premier tight ends in the NFL. Baalke was fired last January after the team finished 7-25 combined during the two seasons after Harbaugh's departure.

I'm excited about the niners and also a jim harbaugh fan. But we must never forget the faithful who lost their minds in 2014 and thought baalke and tomsula were the future so we don't make that mistake again. These three are tied together so are appropriate to talk about in here imho.

You guys claim to want to talk football but really just want to pretend every move is awesome because it feels better. Then when it falls apart, oh well we are just faithful and you are not. That isn't a legitamate way to look at the team.
