No chance.

Weve had long Joe vs Steve threads on here before

The Harbs debate is not Harbs vs 49ers, it's Harbs vs Baalke. But because Baalke clearly lost, Harbs haters need to believe it's Harbs vs 49ers rather than admit they were wrong

Harbs vs. 49ers doesn't work either. The goal posts have moved to Harbs vs. Championships.

Good point. I think a lot of the Baalke loyalists have become Jed/Paraag loyalists, it is easier to blame those who are gone.

and i guess you forgot that JH was brought in to bring a offense, not a Defense

JH would s**t his pants if he had this years 9er roster

He was brought in to win. Not to win fantasy football games. I love the o Shanny is bringing but it really doesn't matter how he gets it done. If his o sucked but Saleh's d was Carroll esque it's all good. Winning is winning.

Tomsula was brought in to teach, not win.

He does well against dumber teams but gets shut down vs teams that have smarter players who don't get fooled with the misdirection his teams heavily rely upon.

It also helps bringing in a DC who can carry his own weight unlike Saleh and adding PB's like Aldon, Carlos Rogers, Whitner.

The d wasn't sh until JH got here. We can sh on his o and rightfully so at times but he plays to enhance his d. It's no accident everywhere he goes plays elite d. You can talk when and if Shanny can get to an every year contender status because just being better offensively means little.

The D was ranked 16th in points allowed in 2010 and the offense ranked 24th in points scored.
In 2012 the D ranked 2nd in points allowed and the offense ranked 11th in points scored.
That is stellar improvement.

The key test was how did JH teams offense and defense perform after his 1st year of surprising the league with his style? From what I remember, his offenses got worse because they were predictable and simple. There was a reason why he would keep the game close on only but a couple of drives. He didn't have a very deep playbook to be trying to blow teams out. Sound strategy, but it was about 35 years old and he was beginning to get figured out. The zone read with Kap sort of revived him for about 10 games but then it got figured out quickly.

The 49ers ranked 11th in scoring in '11, '12 and '13.
As the years went on spending on payroll dwindled and the roster went to *.

I think Harbs, Fangio and Roman were a winning combo but I much prefer the current offense to HaRoman's offense.

Scoring offense ? The defense gave the Offense plenty of chances. it should have been higher than 11, but all we can do is kick FGs

Spending had nothing to do with 2014 woes on offense

As the spending decreased year after year the roster for worse. In 2012 the 49ers were third in spending, they slipped to 16th by 2014, 26th in 2015 and 31st last year.

Jed, Paraag and Baalke followed the advice of the Harbaugh Haters and fixed the offence with Tomsula and Geep.

Spending doesn't have s**t to do with anything those years, after yes. but not those
We had Crabtree, Davis, Walker and Gore at one point with a solid line and Baalke managed to f that up. 2nd per play in offense that year too so there's no pretending we weren't balling.

JH begs him to keep Delanie. Nope he replaces him with a bust. Then since he couldn't draft a receiver he kept trading for old slow ones until the offense flopped belly up.

JH is no offensive genius but anyone can see the personnel blunders of Baalke.

Balling? that's why pretty much every game was won on FGs

The only time we balled out was the 2nd half of 2012.

Baalke screwed up the depth but 99% of the starters were the same 2011-2014. Our starters finally got tired of the rah rah coach. They already had that with Singletary

The same is going on in Mich, 3 year now and can't beat anyone that's better than them. It's getting stale
The team was 11th in scoring on the year, 11th in yards, 2nd per play in yards.

2012 we had a good o but that's about it. Either way the d is still his. He brought in Fangio, he put in the final pieces and we won a sh load with him.
