The only time we balled out was the 2nd half of 2012.

Baalke screwed up the depth but 99% of the starters were the same 2011-2014. Our starters finally got tired of the rah rah coach. They already had that with Singletary

The same is going on in Mich, 3 year now and can't beat anyone that's better than them. It's getting stale

I met Bruce Miller following the 2015 season. Was during the Warriors/Trailblazers playoff series. He was at my local sports bar. I waved him over and bought him a drink. I figured he'd grab his drink and be on his way but he pulled up a stool and we talked for well over an hour, mostly about the 49ers. Since his career in football is obviously over I don't mind sharing some of the details of our conversation. He specifically said that Jed York and Trent Baalke considered themselves football geniuses but Harbaugh was the real reason they had any success and firing him was a huge a mistake. He also implied that, salary cap issues aside, Harbaugh's firing and the disfunction in the front office was the catalyst behind the roster implosion.

Granted, Miller turned out to be a f**kup but that's a true player's perspective and probably a lot more honest than anything he would have said publicly to the media. Gore's comments regarding Baalke kind of reinforce that notion.

I'm happy with the current coaching staff and all but I'm perplexed by the way Harbaugh is treated by some of our fans after the immediate success and the excitement he brought to the bay following disastrous Nolan and Singletary tenures. And I think it's funny that people are jumping to conclusions like the one I quoted on...I'm not even sure what. Alex Boone or whoever felt that they were overworked? Meh.

JH begs him to keep Delanie. Nope he replaces him with a bust. Then since he couldn't draft a receiver he kept trading for old slow ones until the offense flopped belly up.

JH is no offensive genius but anyone can see the personnel blunders of Baalke.

Yeah, they totally seemed to have gotten tired of him....as evidenced by them giving him a Gatorade shower along with the game ball after his final game. Definitely a guy who had lost the locker room

Our downfall was obvious that Jed thought Baalke was a genius. All those draft picks he accumulated , and the result was bottom of the NFL for years.

You will never find a great coach that players think was a nice guy that didn't overwork them. Dick Vermeil might be the only one that comes to mind. Guys like Walsh/bellicheck are OCD perfectionists every day every practice.

Harbs was really good. Baalke and Jed are idiots.

KS looks to be really good, I'm excited what he can do.

Singletary was also loved in the locker room

I saw you claim players were sick of Harbaugh, and then a couple posts later concede that players loved Harbaugh but that they also loved Singletary. So, you basically aren't making an actual argument.

Performance on the field Vs players liking a coach are two separate things

Singletary is a great example of a loved coach, but his shtick as a coach got old

Okay, but I just provided testimony from an actual player following Harbaugh's firing that seems contrary to your assessment. Players loved Harbaugh. Performance on the field? We had deep playoffs runs 3 out of 4 years he was here and never had a losing season. What are you talking about?

I think the problem is that I read your posts in this thread while I'm sober. Your logic probably works when I'm 8 beers deep

Made perfect sense in regards to your dead wrong assertion that the players had grown tired of him. But now you are somehow saying he was liked and on par with Singletary and are now pointing to on field performance
On a side note, and Being dead serious here.....do you ever know what it is you are even arguing for/against? Or do you just like to argue for the sake of arguing? Because your counter arguments are never consistent nor do they make much sense. Just trying to get some clarification here

Nobody has ever benefited from having a discussion with this guy. I'm not sure why I'm even taking the bait.
