Apparently he's really bad at developing Michigan QB's.

He recruited a new big armed QB. But I don't know if this guy will be Andrew Luck 2.0 or Colin 2.0.

But the arm? That is still the main event.
"That boy can sling it," sophomore receiver Nico Collins, Milton's roommate, says. "Those slants and curls ... you can feel it in your palms, they'll sting a bit. He's a great kid."
With 15 practices in the books, Milton is still taking everything one day at a time. He believes he's still in the thick of the quarterback race, enough to call it a four-way tie.

He gets more credit than he deserves for Luck. Luck was pretty well polished when he got to Stanford. Having a former NFL QB as a father helped him a lot more than did Harbaugh.

I'd give some credit to Harbaugh of recruiting Luck to Stanford. Now that could have been luck or a real spotting of a QB talent, but I still think Harbaugh (through Shaw) helped develop Luck. The offensive system is Shaw's and Harbaugh's. You can see how Greg Roman turned the 49er WCO into the typical 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense, that we've seen in the 60's. Well, he has no excuses now. He got *his* QB (Shea Patterson), in the sense that this was all Harbaugh. The previous Michigan QB's were half and half the previous regime and Harbaugh, now if he fails to win the big one this year, I know I was wrong about Harbaugh being a QB whisperer.

Patterson threw for 2,259 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions in seven starts for Ole Miss last season. The Wolverines, as a team, completed just nine touchdown passes last season, started three different QBs and finished 8-5.
It was the lowest number of TD passes for Michigan since 1975.
Michigan started recruiting Patterson in December, shortly after ex-quarterback Wilton Speight announced he would take a graduate transfer. Before the month was over, the Wolverines received a commitment from the former five-star passer, who was rated as the nation's No. 1 quarterback in the 2016 class.

Who would've thought the 49ers would ever get more headline talk than Jim Harbaugh ever again?!

Good coach, but him and his teams can't get it done when it's time to play like a champion

He's got his shot this year. Loaded roster. Has a top notch QB as well. No reason why Michigan shouldn't be a legit national championship contender. If they fail, it won't be due to lack of talent.

Meyer and Saban both broke through in Year 3 at their respective schools. Harbaugh will be in Year 4. If he's at all worth his oversized salary then Michigan is going to blow the doors off this season.

Yet NFL teams were trying to get Jake Ruddock and Detroit were making moves to keep him away from Chicago

I know most don't like him but just because you guys say he isn't good at developing Qb's when in reality history proves you wrong. It doesn't mean it becomes true. Dude gets the best out of his Qb's..

In 3-4 years, he has Michigan right where they want to be. In National Championship contention. People tend to discredit how 11 players went to the nfl a couple of years ago..

I think 12 seniors come back with a top notch defense and a QB that can contend. Dude has been killing it with recruiting..

Something Trent failed miserably in doing..

This defense will be the #1 Defense, the secondary are already #1 in college.

All Michigan needed was a good Qb.. Which Shea Patterson is..

This is the year Michigan beats that other school.

I feel like fans have been saying this since 2012 regarding JH. LOL.

For your sanity of fanatic fandom of JH, I genuinely hope you're right! Good luck wu.

Nice try,

It takes a coach 3-4 years to recruit your own guys and do what the coach wants to install.. He has been with Michigan for four years.. Guess what, we are going to compete this year.. Right on time

All we needed was a mature Qb and hopefully it's Shea Patterson.

We were spoiled when he blessed us early, look what happened to our roster...

I rather be contending than not.. Thanks brethren

P.s If Harbaugh doesn't do it in the next couple of years, then I will question.. but it's been four years and we are loaded.

This is his roster now.
