6 championships to zero.

True in the nfl one ran home and the other 44-19-1 before an idiot owner fired him?

You must admit quitting looks bad on a resume? No?
Saban wasn't gifted a NFL team.. not sure how you think 0 Ships is better than 6 ?

Gifted as in Scot gifting Baalke draft picks and Baalke running with it?

Or you mean the previous 9 years no coach couldn't do anything then Harbaugh came in and turned the program around?

Gifted like in Stanford 1-10? San Diego state? Or Michigan? So you call it a coincidence, I call it success... There's no luck in turning programs around nfl or college.

It will be sooner than our 10 years of waiting, that's for sure.... Our owner solidified that. He might be back to the nfl as a GM with 2 before we get 1.

Or he might be Marty Schottenheimer and never even win one. The "might happen" game goes both ways.

Our GM was terrible...eventually. But during JH's tenure, that roster was widely considered the best and deepest in the NFL for 2-3 years. The talent was clearly there at a championship caliber level. Teams had won superbowls with far less talent...like the Ravens.

2012-2014 Super Bowl window...

2012-2013 were arguably the worst drafts.. 2013 0 players?

What do you expect a coach to do with 0 to replenish that defense? Trade away Alex Smith and not replace him? Was this help or a coup????

Rarely does a rookie come in and is the difference for a Championship team. It takes years to develop...exactly what Jim stepped into.

Once Aldon Smith was drafted, the roster was complete and deep.

Oh, you said it. I was just thinking of ol' Marty here in SD as a great comparison the other day. Nailed it!

Marty won 200 games in the NFL, winning over 60% of the 300+ games he coached and yet any discussion about him tends to center in on his failure to ever win that elusive SB and his numerous playoff disappointments.

Spot on. Really good coach like Jimbo but just didn't have the philosophy/acumen to get over that hump. It was hard to watch the local fans go through that...soooo much talent.
That's who you want him to be? Lol

Has Marty been to the Super Bowl? Has he won an AFC championship? If not your point is mute.

Has Marty turned around programs wherever he went? Nfl or cfb?

Has Marty won the Orange Bowl?

Let me guess in this game that Orange Bowl, Citrus Bowl and nfc title doesn't count only quitting

Took 3 separate teams to the playoffs. Won 200 games. 60%+ win percentage. 0 championships.

If Harbaugh doesn't win a championship, that is the category he'll be in, like it or not. The Hall of Very Good Not Great HCs.

Saban is one of the greatest college coaches ever, mostly because he's so great at building a staff and recruiting. His offense schemes are as vanilla as they come, he's onl changing recently. He built success on his D, nfl sized front 7 and his unique DBs

Saban I'm nfl is bottom of barrel.

Safe to say he will have Michigan contending for the next couple of years and beyond with all those Qb's and a number #1 defense and possibly the #1 pick in the draft next season.

We are going to see very soon..

Not get completely outcoached in the SB by his brother while having one of the most stacked rosters in football?

Completely Out coached?

Lol, I guess were ignoring adjustments and coming within a few yards of winning

I don't know why people insist on that SB being some kind of debacle

49ers were 4.5 point favorites.

Your acting like we were undefeated NE and were 12 point favorites

Also SB favorites of 4 or more points in last 20 years are 7-7, and only covered 3 times

Imo the idea that one team has a huge edge in SB rarely ever proved true. In last 20 years it happened with Denver beating Atlanta, Pitt over Seattle, and and Indy over Chicago.

"The hot streak continues for Michigan and his staff as Johnson becomes commit No. 16 for the Wolverines in the 2019 recruiting class and the sixth to give a pledge since last Friday. With the future receiver, punt returner and perhaps Wildcat quarterback in the fold, Michigan's class moves up to rises three more spots to No. 5 nationally in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings, maintaining the No. 1 class in the Big Ten."

Moving up to #5 in 2019 recruiting class, We are going to see real soon what he does with his recruits.. baalke should be taking notes, wherever he is.. 📝

#1 in the big ten thus far over meyer huh... Nice, looks like he is closing that gap... Rapidly lol

"The No. 1 recruit in the country in the Top247 Player Rankings in defensive end Zach Harrison was back on campus as Michigan battles Ohio State and Penn State. The Wolverines are in the thick of it for Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic front seven playmaker Aeneas DiCosmo who also is high on Stanford with Notre Dame and UCLA rounding out the top four."

There is no luck in certain things but you are going overboard giving way too much credit for someone who can only rah rah coach and needs to have a outrageously dominant team..

Scott or Baalke in 2011 is irrelevant. We still had a strong uncoached team that missed a few key areas that Baalke signed in FA

if the 49ers didn't gift JH a team, why not a championship with Stanford, SD and Michigan in his first year ? but i know you will say it's different even though you brought college into it.

Harbaugh is only good when he has the dominant team, but when he meets a team thats equal/better or has a better coach.. he loses.
