I'm not going to credit our fo for Fangio who ran him out to promote their love child Tomsula. Tomsula was York's Buddy Ryan.

I agree with that. Harbaugh gets the credit for bringing fangio in. But IMO, he doesn't get the credit for what fangio did with the D while he was here and he doesn't get the credit for that D carrying the team. He made a good hire and the defense ran itself.

Sure he does. Head coach. Just like Shanny can get fired if he never finds himself a Fangio no matter what his o does.

I disagree. I liked Harbaugh as our coach and never wanted him to leave. As I've always said. But I don't give him credit for the D and what they did. He never produced a top ranked offense or QB (as a supposed QB guru should), and let the defense run itself. He's a good headcoach, but not s great one, IMO.

The front office f**ked up by starting a riff with him and eventually forcing him out. Nobody can deny that. But with the decline in talent that was happening and the steady decline in the 49ers record since year one of Harbaugh, I don't know if the eventual crash of our team was avoidable.

Obviously there's criticism to be had on o no matter how I spin it. His o dropped off here and UM has the same issues.

That being said power, time control football elevates defense. Some of his o's weren't as bad as you're suggesting. 2012 our Super Bowl year we finished 2nd per play. That year you're punishing him for eating time up because we could run the ball and play d.

For example. Our defense gave up 31 points to Green Bay, 28 points to Falcons and 34 points to Baltimore...

That defense looked exhausted towards the end of the season. Along with the bogus penalties and still we were yards away.

Crabtree got held and the refs didn't call it regardless our defense let us down. I blame our GM for getting cute with draft picks. Not having a bench instead of drafting players that helped no one. All Acl Crew who rotted away or disappeared. Marcus Lattimore was shocked he was drafted.. Aj Jenkins was an embarrassment..

We didn't have a bench on defense. The defense was worn down. You cannot draft 0-64 with zero impact players and say it doesn't hurt us during a super bowl window.

He pissed away draft picks when you see know, Harbaugh got two defensive lines with little drop off. Kwitty Paye, Josh Uche,Carlo Kemp and Dwamfour.. Ready to replace or give breathers with no drop off or little to the defense.

I understand it's college but the keys should have been given to Harbaugh.. He knows how to recruit, spot talent, build staffs and coach players.

2013 season. The defense did plenty in the NFC title game to win it for us. Offense dropped the ball.

The offense is what saved us actually lol.. Nfc title game... That falcons game..

We were down 17.... Watch the video I remember very clearly...

Keapernick and that offense is what saved us!! Lmao..

I have been saying this for years and posters still believe in false narratives...

You guys must have forgotten again.. Let's refresh...

The offense is what actually saved us.... How the f**k can people forget?!?!?! The offense came back in the Davens game as well but we complain about the "offense" did anyone watch the game???

Yet again disregarding he had the worst GM in history.. 0-64 with zero impact players...

WHO THE f**k COULD COACH WITH TRENT BAALKE AS A GM??? WHAT COACH THRIVED UNDER BAALKE??

Of course everything dropped off, you had a gm drafting the All Acl Crew..

Are we conveniently ignoring 6 years of drafts wasted?!?!?!?! Are we ignoring their fued? Do you think they were arguing on who will buy the coffee and donuts or on players they wanted?!?!?!?! C'mon wake the f**k up.

Jeez louise

What coach has thrived under Trent Baalke

"Marcus Lattimore was shocked 49ers drafted him after gruesome knee injury"
https://www.thescore.com/news/792641

Really!?!?!?! When you have players that were shocked to even being drafted. You have to be the dumbest GM on this planet... You must have forgotten... What you want Harbaugh to do?? Turn him in Barry Sanders?!?!

Wtf? He was working with a sick man fixated with injured players who couldn't draft a wr to save his life..

What am I supposed to forget all this?? Most of his draft picks are not playing on other teams. Overstand that..

My question is why should Harbaugh get all the credit for all the success if he didn't coach that side of the ball or have any input on that side of the ball? The answer is he shouldn't. Just like how nobody looks at the 85 bears and says "ditka was a great coach and they couldn't have done it without him". Everybody knows the reason that team was great was Buddy Ryan. They carried him off the field after the super bowl, for crying out loud.

But Harbaugh gets all the credit for the turnaround. Fangio barely gets a mention and it was his squad holding teams to less than 17 points a game.

Because his resume shows he did it with other programs. His staff.

Should I give Harbaugh a man who has a resume in turning around programs at the time Standford and San Diego st.

Or a GM that lived off of Scotts draft picks? A GM who created a backstabbing culture, A GM who was fixated with injured players during a Super Bowl run..

I give him the credit because it was his staff that got us there despite working with the worst GM in history..

He really deserves a medal because what team has Trent Baalke had success with besides Harbaugh???

Harbaugh coached those players up. Why wouldn't I give him the respect he deserves??

Who has had success with Baalke besides Harbaugh? f**k yea he deserves a medal working with a rats and snakes while trying to win for us...

I'm shocked we even got that far into the playoffs with a parasite attached to this organization..

It's just simply ridiculous to pretend that Harbaugh didn't have any input on a single player drafted during his tenure here. It's not like Baalke allowed zero input on who was drafted and just said here you go jim. This is what you have to work with. lol

So you are one those that think the rift between them were in regards to coffee and donuts? Lmao

There was a power struggle.. They had different views and had different ideas.. You saw they couldn't work together dude..

It's so f**king transparent.. They were arguing and beefing on players.. They were arguing in regards to the roster... IT CANNOT BE ANY MORE f**kING OBVIOUS

I just posted an article where Delany Walker said Harbaugh wanted him there.... Trent Baalke didn't...

One cannot be that naive not to read in between the lines... Wow 1+1 will always be 2.

"Delanie Walker says Harbaugh wanted him in SF, but not Baalke"

True. Either way 6 drafts wasted.. I give props where it's due. We needed replenishing, we needed a rotation on that dline... What does he do? Drafts in 2013 Tank Carradine... Acl fixation... Who does that???? Trent Baalke does that's who and ignoring the offensive line. Justin Smith still waiting to get a breather or replaced...

What coach could have succeeded with 6 drafts wasted. What coach has succeeded with Trent other than Jim?? Most of those picks are not even in the nfl.. Pathetic..

I give Scott credit and Jim credit. I refuse to give credit to someone who lived off someone else's draft picks. Those were Scott's picks and Jim coached them up. That is who deserves the credit. Imho

Jim hand picked Kap. That invalidates your theory that he had zero input on any player. You really think from day one he had zero input on any player drafted in that time? You're such a conspiracy theorist and in love with your own opinion you don't even think it's possible. Your opinion is so biased and you're such a fanboy of harb you don't even think rationally.

Sure, the defense shutting out Atlanta in the 2nd half had nothing to do with it .

Maybe if Kap and the offense did something in the first half we wouldn't have had to come back in the first place.

Identical to the super bowl.
