He picked this team. He built it it. He is 100% responsible for its players, skill set, and style. And he was 100% outclassed again. Just like every other big game in his career. It's not by chance. You can bet your money on it happening. He is superior to average coaches/teams. He's inferior to great coaches/teams.

Someone paid to go to that game? Ouch. I had tickets and sold them to a Buc fan.

Welp.. Congratulations to osu for that ass whooping.

1) Don Brown s**t the bed.. Knowing those crossing routes hurt us against Indiana. He refused to play zone. We put 39 points up but Michigan should have been passing against them.

Watson was exposed all day. He couldn't keep up with his speed. They exposed that 3rd defensive back all day and Don Brown refused to play zone when those crossing routes were killing us. We don't have their speed. You play zone to put your players in position.

There was no sacks and no pressure.

2) Jim Harbaugh cannot play this old school control the clock scheme on offense against this type of program. Speed killed us and Michigan just doesn't have the speed to match with these big schools.

He still needs to work on recruiting. I thought we did, I thought we had enough speed with these Florida boys on there but they are just not fast enough against these elite teams. We should have been throwing the ball since Maryland put 50 on them.. We need 4.3 speed on both sides of the ball.

Jim Harbaugh needs to assign an Offensive coordinator and stop b******tting along with recruiting faster players.

3) This team needs to get faster. They exposed our third wide receiver all game.

Speed killed us. Unless we get faster, Jim Harbaugh won't be able to contend with these Qb's that can run and have high powered offense.

Embarrassing loss and there is much work to do in recruiting and scheming. I really thought we were fast enough this year.

The combination of lack of zone and speed was exposed when playing these teams with speed.

Speed killed Michigan. The defense got exposed with speed and lack of zones. Michigan doesn't have the speed to contend with these elite programs yet.

Crossing routes killed this defense and Don Brown refused to play zone... We didn't have the players to matchup man to man. 62 points is inexcusable...

Michigan needs 4.3 or 4.4 speed if they are to play man coverage all day long. Simply don't have the speed.

All on point, but I would add another couple of things:

1) In terms of the offense, the complete identity has to change. It cannot be a run-first team anymore. This has been Harbaugh's MO pretty much throughout his entire career from SD to Stanford to the 9ers, same ole stuff. The passing game has only been a "by the way, we do throw the ball once in a blue moon" thing more than anything else. Do you remember when Harbaugh first took over the 9ers in 2011? It was Frank Gore all the way and Alex Smith was really merely a game manager. That will have to change. He will have to re-develop the entire passing game approach, it needs to be much more dynamic.

It is more than just "speed" although of course speed helps. I am talking about the playbook, I am talking about systems, schemes, routes, playcalling and so forth. Plus, Harbaugh needs to be much less predictable. Unlike the run-first approach, there needs to be much more balance.

2) Choice of quarterback. Have you thought about what if Haskins was Michigan's QB instead of Shea Patterson? Shea Patterson is nowhere near Haskins' level. For starters, he doesn't have the arm. Have you noticed he always underthrows? He just doesn't have any power. This is definitely something to think about. Sure Shea Patterson might be able to beat the lesser teams, but if you want to take Michigan to the next level such as to beat Ohio State and to compete in the CFP, then you will need a better QB.

I agree. He needs to get an offensive coordinator.. The times have changed. You cannot beat a team without running the spread offense. This was Shea Patterson first year but has been an exciting one.

Harbaugh has Milton and Mcaffrey helps the transition. It was fun having a Qb this year. Wilton Speight is doing good but he was hurt for us.

I am happy with this years recruiting if they stay committed. Dax Hill is the center fielder Michigan needs. They exploited Brandon Watson the fifth year senior. It's a wide gap in talent. Michigan suffered in the Rich Rod and Hoke era.

Harbaugh has been there 4 years but 3 years recruiting. I am hoping this defense can adjust when having the talent and speed against these fast schools.

Like you stated there was no pressure nor sacks. Their offensive line performed and our defensive line underperformed as well as osu exploiting Michigan with crossing routes. Recipe for disaster.

1) Offense revamping- New offensive coordinator
2) Recruiting 4.3,4.4 talent is a must..
3) Having Milton and Mcaffrey and Safety Dax Hill should make this team more dynamic next year.

4) This loss was more on the defense though. They just didn't matchup man to man. I am more disappointed in the defense.. The offense scored 39 points but it needs tweaking.

I thought we had enough this year. I was wrong. You cannot teach speed and cannot compete against these schools without them. Rich Rod and Hoke put this program in gutter, in regards to recruiting.. They never had to contend against a team like Harbaugh is facing.

Gotta run the spread offense and find that speed to contend with the elite teams.

Yeah it was cool. The parking is all pretty close. Very laid back atmosphere. Easy to get around inside. Wasn't very crowded at all. They shoot them damn cannons off way too much. I was sick of hearing it by the 2nd quarter. Very point scored, random times during the game like a sack or whenever the hell they feel like it. It was pretty hot in there. I didn't have too much of a problem with it but you could see people turning red in their seats by the end of the game. Fans were pretty nice to opposing fans. Good time overall.

Harbaugh's prehistoric offenses is keeping him from winning a title?! I'm shocked

What about Wisconsin and penn st? How are they looking, In your opinion?

Both look very good so far, especially Wisconsin. I think Michigan will go into each game as a slight favorite, and probably loses 1.

I think Michigan loses 1 to Penn St/Wisc and Ohio State for a 9-3 season.

I still think anything less than 10 wins (not counting bowl games) is a disappointing season for Harbs. ND loss hurts. Barring a huge meltdown though his job is pretty safe still.

On September 14, I thought Michigan would be a 9-3 team. Losing 1 to Penn St/Wisc/Ohio State and getting upset in a 3rd game. Michigan managed to avoid the embarrassing upset that I thought would happen.

A 10-win season is a good season at this point in his regime, even with the embarrassing loss to Ohio State. I'm not going to change my expectations for Michigan this year because they were 10-1 going into Ohio State. I thought they were a 9-10 win team, and they were.

Next year they get Notre Dame and Ohio State at home, with a road game against Wisconsin and Penn State. I think Michigan goes 11-1, and potentially 12-0 next year. If Harbs only wins 9 or 10 again next year (or even worse!) he will be on the hot seat to win the Big 10 or get fired in year 6.
Michigan football was a joke before Harbs. As usual, he turned things around. He'll win the big one eventually. Hell of a job still

This guy is a legend
Bye bye Rashan Gary.
Brady Hoke had two top 10 recruiting classes one of which was top 5. He didn't leave the cupboard bare.

I think he wins 11 or 12 next year, but not a championship team.

At the end of the day, I think Harbs needs an absoloute stud at QB to win it all.

For whatever reason, his defense always seems to choke in playoff-type games

The defense gave up 62 points.

Patterson was the #1 qb recruit in the country in 2016. #3 overall

Defense didnt choke in 2011 or 2013 NFC title games.
