6 of 7 years unranked is a brand killer. That's like Colorado or Nebraska or Washington before Peterson

I agree. Jim Harbaugh took over a 5-7 team that was a dumpster fire. A couple of 10 win seasons and a chance chance at 11 wins this year.

No comparison, night and day. I still believe in 2-3 years Michigan should be contending, hopefully continuing the top 10 recruiting each year.

Harbaugh when first hired
"HE WILL HAVE THEM IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BY 2017!!!!!

After his fourth year
"He still needs 2-3 years recruiting to be concidered a contender"

I guess fans on this forum will never hold him accountable

I'm guessing a grand total of zero fans on this forum said that, and I feel very comfortable with my guess. If I am wrong, it wont be by a lot.

" He needs time but they'll be contending for a Natty by year 3" is what a lot of folks were saying at the time, I'm not going to look up what was posted on the Internet 4 years ago .

Let me know who said Michigan would have a championship in 4 years?

4 years ago Michigan students took it to the streets asking for Michigan's athletic directors job..

Flashback Michigan 4 years ago.. Brady Hoke lost to Rutgers I believe that year. 5-7 season.. I doubt anyone was thinking championships.. Michigan needed to find out how to win first, forget about thinking championships in four years at that time. 😂

Context. Michigan was a dumpster fire four years ago.. Very similar situation 49ers were in pre-Harbaugh..

4 years later Harbaugh's "best defense in the country" is getting 62 points scored on it in a game they were favored, Michigan fans calling for his head, media is roasting him and questioning if he can ever win a "big game". 4 years is a long time but I'm sure if you go and look on who's been posting on the fourms since 2015 you will find plenty who believed they would be playing/competing for a Natty by now.

Michigan was a dumpster fire in 2014. That 5-7 season was very disappointing, also the AD scandal. Harbaugh has three 10 win seasons in four years. A chance for 11 wins in his fourth year of coaching.

There is no reason to fire him. It would be retarded to pull a Jed York move.. The media always hated him and fans are overreacting. The recruiting is getting there.
The real fans remember where that program was at before him.

As far as the 62 points. Don Brown is getting his 4.3 5 star Safety next year. It's progress looking back at where the University was at. The team is getting faster, if you look at his recruits. He should have put those kids in zone but Devin Bush got hurt, David Long got hurt, Winovich was playing hurt, osu speed. A combination of events lead to the debacle.

Not many Universities have a 4.3 on the bench waiting for an opportunity like Osu, Alabama, Georgia and Clemson do.

If you said JH would be 0-4 vs OSU, 0 Big Ten titles 4 years ago everyone would be saying that's unacceptable. 1 win, 1 title that would pass but he was brought in to contend.

There no should be no denying that while he has improved the program he's left some meat on the bone and there's room for severe criticism. UM fans should be frustrated right now. If they lose next year it might be over for him unless that's their only loss.

Gators were a dumpster fire before Dan Mullen. If he's 0-4 vs Georgia in 4 years he doesn't see year 5. That's the price of being at a top program.

Understood but Harbaugh took the 49ers to 3 straight nfc championships and a super bowl. I think he has shown he could do it at a higher level thus Michigan's AD is not going to fire him, nor they should. He should use his WR more. His tight ends burned him. Gentry 3 dropped passes, Patterson was off with short passes thrown as well.

The critics say he never sticks around after four years, now they are saying he should be fired? He is sticking around after four years and 3 years recruiting. The offensive line improved in one year drastically under Ed Wariner. There's alot of positives.

Qb
Dylan Mcaffrey
Joe Milton

Wr
Tarik Black
Donovan Peoples-Jones
Nico Collins

This offense with tweaking next year will be potent. Both Qb's are over 6 feet, both are mobile and have an arm.

The addition of a 5 star safety choosing Harbaugh over Saban is a huge sign of good things to come. If you rewatch, Shea Patterson was off with under thrown balls and the tight end drop passes, the dropped td pass..

Context is important also though. I agree he should open the offense at the same time understanding there were alot of opportunities on the field for the players to capitalize in on... It was 24-19 at halftime. The second half combined with injuries was a different story.

Uche didn't play the game... Winovich and Gary were dealing with injuries. The pass rush simply wasn't there. If Michigan was healthy they would have competed like the first half at minimum.

In order for Michigan to win that game or any elite team. They needed to be healthy. They needed all hands on deck, healthy. They simply could not afford to be down guys and play an elite team. Like I have been saying if David Long and Devin Bush get hurt. Michigan doesn't have that type of talent on the bench yet.

2019 draft class is looking very promising with size, athletes and speed in the secondary next year. There's a core of talent of kids who are coming to Michigan. #goonsquad19 they are calling themselves and they are recruiting each other.

There will be an influx of talent next year. The future is bright.

Harbaugh is beating out Saban in recruits.. Look at the talent. That's a 5 star DT from Georgia.. That's a 5 star safety from Oklahoma. The best safety in 2019 class.. Whatever Harbaugh is doing.. It's working and the guy is competing with Saban for recruits.

Harbaugh knows how to recruit and develop. He had a bunch of 3 stars over performing this year. Let's see when he gets an influx of 5 and 4 star athletes. Don't forget Zach Charbonet 4-5 star running back..

As of today. 90% of the roster is Harbaugh's recruits. Context is very important. Those down south boys are taking notice of Harbaugh. 👀

Img academy is in Florida as well I believe.. Some may clown Harbaugh but the off-season camps down south are making an impact, the trips are making an impact..
