Winning was fine in the beginning, but it was due to having a team already in place which he couldn't maintain

I called he would go to SD, as the team is already there. Will he learn from past mistakes ?

I agree with this all.

His act was so cool the first year.
Then it just wore on me.
Hated his offense.

Cant take away his playoff run and SB appearance. (although i think he should have won)

Replacing him with Tomsula was donkey business and lame.

I think he's putting too much of our decline during that time solely on Harbaugh, but I get what 49AllTheTime is saying. Jim's last year we went 8-8 and the roster quickly deteriorating the next two years, which was only compounded by Patrick Willis retiring and Frank Gore leaving.

Yeah it quickly deteriorated, cuz we took a winning HC, with a tough as nails attitude, and booted him for a DL coach, in way over his head. And Chip Kelly. That's not 'on JH'. In any universe. The team JH inherited, the 2010 season was over in September. As they say, you are your record. JH had a great one. Can't assign losses to him that took place not on his watch.

Hopefully he doesn't use 4 different play callers for his offense like he did here and hopefully he has finally figured out how to get plays called in on time in the NFL so he stops burning timeouts.

Chargers probably just got max number of prime games allowed just like that. Jimbo gonna add some fun to the no fun league. Really excited to see how they do.

Man you guys trying to rehash all this stuff yet again? The owner (Jed York) was the problem. He did nothing but try to sabotage Harbaugh at the end. Because his feelings got hurt when he said "this meeting is just for the guys." He was a catastrophe. Firing coach after coach. Hiring clown show coaches one after another. No patience or planning for anything. Harbaugh was an excellent coach with a very difficult eccentric personality. But making the NFC Championship and Super Bowl with KRAP and Al_EXCUSES is not really something to be criticized for. It's remarkable and amazing. Punching way above weight. He took the Michigan program who could never beat Ohio State, get to the playoff, win the Championship to doing all of those. They were nowhere near that before him. Standford was nowhere near as good before him and neither was University of San Diego. He has won everywhere he goes.

He's a great, great football coach with a very difficult personality that you just have to put up with.

Jim Harbaugh is the man. He arrived here at the perfect time and then left, or was sent packing, at the perfect time.

Jed York actually did JH a favor in getting him out of the Ish show that we were between 2014 and 2017, or between the JH and KS eras.

If we had, had a true FQB at the time I suspect we would have won at least one of those Super Bowls and Jim would have left of his own accord or would still be here.

That said, I am happy we fixed things and now have Kyle Shanahan running operations. But Jim Harbaugh was awesome during his run here.
