How is he a "far" better coach than Shanahan? Shanahan had to rebuild a roster, something Harbaugh has yet to do in the NFL, and has coached teams to more conference championship games and Super Bowl appearances.

They were garbage before the got there. Some road his coat tails after he built that. But he is the one who put them in BCS Bowl games and they weren't doing that before he got there. He got to NFC Championship Games and the Super Bowl with KRAP & AL_EXCUSES. That's actually incredible and should not be able to be done.
Shanahan never won anything. I doubt he ever will. He stacks up NFC Championship losses and Super Bowl losses. That's as far as it goes. It's his ceiling.

Shanahan couldn't even coach you to the High School Championship. Just doesn't have it. He would CHOKE in the BIG GAME. Harbaugh has proven many times he can win the BIG GAME. That's the difference.
