Jim Harbaugh Thread - HC Chargers

Harbaugh is one of the most successful coaches of the current era. He's taken losing teams and built them into winners everywhere he's gone at every level of competition. He hasn't failed anywhere which even Belichick can't say.

Never understood the hate for Harbaugh here, he took one of the worst teams in the nfl for a better part of a decade and turned that same team into one of the hardest bully ball teams in the league up there with the Steelers and Ravens. Practically taking them to the superbowl reviving Alex Smiths career when no one believed in him all in his first season.

That's because he doesn't stick around long enough to know what it's like. Dude was on his way to a 6-10 season before he bailed on the 9ers.
Harbaugh has always had good starts. However, it remains to be seen if he can keep the message fresh at the NFL level. College is continual personal churn and they're always under 25. I remember some vets in SF got exhausted by Harbaugh's style/intensity by the 4th year.

Baalke started the bad rumors about Harbaugh because he couldn't control him. The local press and the young owner took a side and choose Baalke.

Coach Jim Harbaugh > Shany

Harbaugh believes in 3 phases of a team to win. Shanny only believes in his phase unfortunately.

Harbaughs D this year I think is allowing the fewest points.

Yeah I agree. He's a far superior coach. Jed should have just put his feelings aside and kept him.

No he's not, stop with that nonsense. YOU need to put your feelings aside if anything, YOU were the one who stated YOU hate Shanahan. That dumb as f**k.

"My boy KS" I just called for him to be fired at the end of the year and I'm over him, just like Harbaugh when it was clear we weren't going anywhere in 2014.

im tired of 49ers teams falling short every year for the last 2 decades. I want a coach that will get us over the hump. Something neither Harbs or Shanny could do despite having insanely talented rosters.

it really comes downs to the players, mainly QB to get you over the hump

Nope, it's the HC. Jordan didn't make Phil, Phil made Jordan. Without Phil, Jordan would've been a bench player.

Pat without Reid he would just be a backup QB.

Gretzky is a product of the system, would've been awful with good coaches.
