That's a great point.

Damn Watters would be in the HoF if it wasnt for those remarks. Another player that will be in the Watters club is another 9er:
He'll get in. Chad won't.
TO will have a hard time getting in. It may take him 5+ years. Far too many stupid comments and actions in his career. His comments about McNabb have turned off a lot of writers.

well he thought he was the reason the 49ers won the super bowl, so the decision was stupid but the man was even stupider. Like many said he was a good player on a great team, he wasn't going to singlehandedly lead a team. If anything he didn't make his teammates better, his teammates made him look good when you have Steve Young as your QB and Jerry Rice on your team that can happen.

Originally posted by FreddyG:I never said that because I'd rather have Watters over Loville but the point I'm making is he wasn't as good as the other teams thought he was. Watters was good but he wasn't a great player he was impacted by the good protection he had as well as the team around him but if you compare him to the likes of Rice, Taylor and Jones he was the least talented and valuable of the 4.Originally posted by 49ersGiantspride:Originally posted by BasharCali49:

You dont think him leaving effected the team in a negative way?
