I think Ray, his lawyer, and the investigator knew it would be worth the arrest for the evidence they needed to get for themselves. I don't blame them for not trusting his ex-fiance or the police. He was probably the only one with a key. They were there to take a pic of the door he allegedly broke down.

was arrested again Wednesday on suspicion of violating a restraining order, police said.
McDonald showed up at a Santa Clara residence shortly before 3 p.m., according to police. He is not allowed to be there because of the restraining order, which police said was issued against McDonald on Monday after he was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and child endangerment.
On Wednesday, McDonald had already left the home by the time officers arrived. Police said he was found just down the road at Togo's Sandwiches at 2203 Tasman Drive. He was arrested without incident and taken to the Santa Clara Police Department. He was later booked into Santa Clara County Jail on $5,000 bail.
Police did not say who called them to let them know McDonald was at the home.
McDonald's attorney, Steve DeFilippis, said neither he nor his client had been notified about the restraining order.
DeFilippis said McDonald had gone to the residence Wednesday to meet with a defense investigator, who had spoken to the woman who lived. DeFilippis said the investigator wanted to let the woman know he was going to be there, and she told him she was in Santa Cruz.
It was unclear if the woman knew McDonald would also be at the home, DeFilippis added.
The investigator and McDonald were meeting at the home to take pictures for evidence, DeFilippis said, including documenting the broken door that McDonald allegedly kicked down before the domestic violence call Monday. McDonald maintains the door is intact.
Even though he's stupid and has brought a lot of this on by putting himself in bad situations, there's still a part of me that feels bad for him...I don't think he's just an inherently "bad guy" as in he's just a serial wife-beater...but he's got mixed up with crazy women, babies, etc., and now with the heightended sensitivity in society at-large and especially the NFL, he might have cost himself his NFL career.

Domestic Violence Group in SF are saying they are worried about McDonald's fiance life.
They say 2 things that make Ray deadly is that he broke protective orders....and that he lost his job...that he has lost everything. So I guess they mean he has nothing to live for but to kill his fiance.
they say Judge should keep him locked up.
I don't know, I'm no lawyer or part of no group...but I would thunk he has his millions to live for, let alone just his freedom.

I was wondering if McDonald has suffered head trauma too. Possibly could explain his irrational behavior. He should get his head checked.
Usually, bad guys show warning signs before they're even in the league. So strange for someone to be a model citizen for 8 years, and then suddenly go bat s**t crazy. People blame alcohol and a crazy ex-fiancé. I suspect brain trauma.

I'd say he upped the crazy ante because he lost out on multi million dollar contracts.

I can understand the relation regarding drinking, but this part of the article is straight out of the writer's ass BS.
Speaking to HBO's Real Sports, Dr. McKee said, "… we know that with CTE it leads to a short fuse. These guys used to be fine. They were entirely reasonable at all times of day. But now these guys are assaultive, they're overreacting. They're paranoid, they're jealous."I mean really? hahaha. And this writer knows this because?
McKee's quote seems to describe McDonald exactly.
edit- Kevin Lynch wrote that? oh wow, dude used to be the most sensible guy (at least after Alex left)

He gave up many millions over the past few weeks with his actions.

He can still pull it together and turn his life round. And if he does there are NFL teams who will pay him.
Don't flush it all away Ray.
