This one?

That's the one!
I don't like the caption. Makes it seem like our guys were playing for bounties. It should say "Winning is our bounty", or something.

LOVE IT

Lol cool that kills 2 birds with one stone for us since Williams is with the Rams he is out indefinitely and will be reevaluated at the end of the season and Payton done for he season. That's two of our 2012 opponents weakened for 3 of our games next season. Who dat gonna coach dem now? Lol

was said to be the ass HC but he was suspended also as well as another ass coach Vitt (6 games)

lol prob the OC

They just hired Spags (the old Rams HC) as their DC this year. My guess is that he'll be the HC for the Saints next year.

Wow Spags. The bigges thing is not the HC responisbility but the play calling.

All I can say to this is WOW. The proof has now been shown. This is going to hurt the fans more than anything. What I want to know is, what kind of stupid dumb ass fool keeps a RECORD of ILLEGAL(as per NFL rules) activity????? ESPECIALLY after they were warned in 2010??? I love my team but they got what they deserved. Sadly, the fans are who is being hurt the worst. We get to bare the e-ridicule on a daily basis from other fans and from the media. Embarresment doesn't begin to sum it up.

sorry man, its not your guys(fans) fault though.

Brees on the banning or Payton:

"I am speechless. Sean Payton is a great man, coach, and mentor. ... I need to hear an explanation for this punishment."

Is he f**king kidding? He needs an explanation?

agree...if not more

You are probably right. Vilma was a major organizer of the bounty system.

He was the only player on the Saints mentioned in the finding.

Wow

Never saw that intense of a punishment coming

Thats too much! Spygate was worse! Don't give incentives for sacks or going to the playoffs! You'll get 2 years suspension.

You can give any incentive you want as long as it's included in the contract because it would then go against the cap. The Saints paid guys under the table, which directly violates the cap.

The caption should read: "bounty? don't need no goddamned bounty" or "keep your bounties. Give me the goddamned ball"

Also for the saints fans and the few niner fans who question if we had a bounty program, the Pittsburgh games proves we do not. That game was a perfect opportunity to take out Ben, but yet our defense hit him cleanly every time.

Williams left New Orleans before the scandal broke, running to join Jeff Fisher in St. Louis. Now Payton is gone for a year, probably never to return to the Saints. He can't come back. Not after this. Without their genius play-caller and the man who burned so much to win, the Saints are done as a Super Bowl contender. What good is Drew Brees without the man who made him one of the league's best quarterbacks? Slowly the great offensive machine collapses. A football darkness falls in New Orleans again.
I heard it was Jermey Shockey that blew the whistle. Is there any truth to this?

Link? I'd be surprised if Payton didn't come back. He's too good not to. But either way, their OC Pete Carmichael is supposed to be pretty good too. I think their owner will probably cash out for Brees btw, he doesn't really have a choice. It's his only way to do damage control.
