Honestly, I don't put all the blame on Roman for the 32nd ranked pass offense, I think 60% this year should go to Kaepernick. Seriously, does every pass that he throws have to be a fastball. What about seeing the field, Drew Brees is 6 ft. and he sees the field as good as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning at 6'4" and 6'5". I haven't gave up Kaepernick just yet, but this dude really regressed as a QB.
One last thing get Kyle Williams the f**k outta there and give someone with height and speed a chance, like hello, Jon Baldwin I think would be a pretty decent deep threat if utilized right....ROMAN!!!
I saw Kaepernick put a lot of passes right on the money, passes to Boldin, Manningham, that past to McDonald deep couldn't have been any more perfect, people seem to complain about the times he misses passes, but he shows some sensational accuracy at times. Yeah, he has the tendency of gunning the ball in there at times, the last QB had the tendency to sail passes 3-4 feet over the receivers head, you take the good with the bad. Kaepernick's issues are largely correctable, the issues with the playcalling...might not be, I just keep seeing the same mistakes repeated over and over again, ad nauseum, getting away from the running game, setting up passing plays with only one viable receiving target, having the QB take long drops against aggressive defenses, not utilizing screens or slants to back off a heavy blitzing defense and on and on.
The playcalling was much like the Seattle and Indy games, same look of ill-preparation, or even the Rams games last season where it looked like the opposing defense knew what playcalls were coming as if they had been in the huddle with the offense. Not sure if perhaps Ginn tipped them off but the Panthers were jumping on routes and making the right call on a significant amount of plays today.
