what reasoning do you have to call me this... how am i being a douche? i actually agree with the consensus on this board about this matter.. i truly wish sherman would shut his mouth and let his play do the talking..
Love Sherman, that interview was hilarious. Sherman imo is also better than Revis.

I see Seattle CBs do this the most. Makes you wonder what is acceptable to the refs & why other teams don't do the same.
Not sure how anyone can love someone like Sherman if you have ever played and respected the game. He is a sore loser and a sore winner, the trash talk should stop after the game is over but with him it doesn't. It's like fighters who trash talk, fight, and then shake each others hands and give respect. Sherman is the equivalent of a fighter who continues to talk trash win or lose after the fight, a joke.

Sherman isn't even close to a healthy Revis, and some of you are smokin crack if you think he is. Revis has shut down top WRs for YEARS, Sherman had ONE impressive season. If Sherman repeats the season he had for two more years minimum, then let that comparison happen.

his his first 1 1/2 year numbers say different.. not saying he's overall as good as Revis career wise to this point.. but his first 2 year numbers are better than Revis's first 2 year numbers.. so there is an argument there.
theres nothing wrong with talking a little bit of trash , but there is a big difference between trash talking and being a classless, immature little b***h.......Sherman and the SeaChickens can go F*ck themselves .....cant wait til we thump them TWICE next year

Just my opinion but the argument can't even be made yet. It's like takin Kaep's best QBR over the first ten games and crowning him the best that ever was already. Revis has consistently been the best corner for multiple seasons. Sherman could flame out or he could get better, but one season isn't enough for an argument. There needs to be consistent greatness and Sherman has only been great for one season, he wasn't "great" his rookie year. He needs two more seasons covering #1s to be legitimately considered the best IMO.

Sherman has only had 1 great year
I don't mind trash talk but against Bayless it came off pretty weak and it just makes him look insecure.

Don't say "The numbers speak for themselves" and than continue to speak on and goad people. If the numbers speak for you than why are you still talking?

It's clear that all this trash talk is a premeditated way to bring himself more attention, more people talking about him, and thus more brand recognition. Bayless was an easy target for him because he knows Bayless plays the role of "villain" himself a lot on the show and isn't the most well liked person among fans.

But he needs to model his trash talk more off of Ali who was a master showman with it instead of the way he does it now which just makes him look like someone insecure and not happy that people don't talk about him more than they feel they should.
Richard Sherman could pick off a pass in every game for the next ten years, and he'll still not be good enough. "Address me as All-Pro, Stanford Graduate". How about I just call you Douche and we'll go with that one. All he did was make it more well known that he's an awful person.

i whole heartedly agree, career wise, Sherman is not in the conversation... but what Sherman is claiming all this time is, he is the best corner playing in the game... Revis didn't play last season, so he did not include him in the conversation.. he clearly stated this on NFL AM, they asked him straight out about the twitter fued.. he said when he (Revis) comes back and is healthy Revis is the best in the game., but until that happens, i feel i am.. nobody is mentioning that interview.. and when he brings up the stats, all he was saying is, my numbers were better than his my first two years.. and they are.

That seems fair enough.
Still, his words are in poor taste, but that is only my opinion.
I've never really cared for so much self-promotion, and that isn't limited to Sherman.

despite your personal opinions about the guy, the first part of your statement is a bit on the ridiculous side.. if he indeed picked off a pass every game for 10 years he'd probably go down as the best corner to ever play the game...

as far as the rest of your post, i could post other vids of him when he's talking about his community and kids and his efforts there, but you don't want to hear about the other side of him, becasue it's much easier to hate him when he's on camera making an a** of himself every week.. he's a loud mouth , and egomaniac, whatever you want to call him, but off the field and away from all this media crap he keeps getting himself into, he's actually a good dude and does a lot for the kids in his community. unfortunately fans outside of Seattle will never know this because of these types of incident's...

Glad to have you here as Shermans translator, because all I heard was "Derp derp Im a douche." I'll still take Revis as a rookie over Sherman as a rookie. One can play anywhere on the field, the other is far more limited. Once Sherman starts playing slot and shadowing other teams #1s for an entire game than he can be considered more than a very good one trick pony.
