Got to give credit to Trent for making it happen though. In his short time here, Boldin has significantly more yards and touchdowns than Kyle Williams, Ronald Johnson, AJ Jenkins, Patton, and Ellington (all of Baalke's drafted WR's besides Smelter) combine for in their careers.

If we were looking to compete this year and were going all out in FA plus brought back say Boone and Kap then I'd be more likely to keep him. He is tough to get rid of but if we are going to rebuild and work on the future then we need to see what Patton/Ellington (and smelter) have before we possibly move on from the first 2.
