why do u guys care so much

He is definitely a 49er hater.

Not neccessarly a hater. Just a giant D-Bag. Arrogant too. Can't stand the guy. You can't get through to him on email. I tried to get him to just mention NCH, never got a response. Much better sports people out there, I can't say names, but there is a bunch of good guys to get information.

i personally dont care if someone like florio is a clear hater, but i'm one of those guys who likes to surf around for nfl news and stay on top of things. his website is one of first few i'll click on to catch up on something i may have missed, but after a while his clear agenda or ulterior motive just became too much, i very rarely visit anymore.

Post another article referencing Tim K trying to stir up tension between Harbaugh and Baalke. This is clearly an attempt by the media to try to bring up controversy within the 49ers organization. They see what is happening. They see that this team is coming together and is about to explode and rip through the playoffs and knock out their darlings the Seadderall Seahawks.

Florio and his website serve as the tabloids of the NFL. They may have some interesting articles from time to time, but he will say or write anything to get views.

Local media is a different story. Tim Kawakami, Ray Ratto and Lowell Cohn make a living off agitating the team and fanbase. Florio is national media, and showing favoritism at the national level helps lose a lot of credibility in the eyes of many. That's why Mike Silver has been able to ascend to the national level even though he started out as a Press Democrat beat writer for the Niners.

Is this something unique to the Bay area teams or just sports towns in general. Obviously in Canada we don't have the level of sports that are down here. But ever since moving here I notice that the writers always seem to be trying to cause s**t where there isn't s**t. Try to tear the team down.

Does this happen in other big sports cities like Chicago or NY?

I don't think he specifically hates the 9ers....he's just an a$$hole in general. He is a lawyer by training, so all he really wants to do is stir the pot and get hits. He would rather deal in rumor and conjecture than with facts. I don't get a lot of NFL coverage where I live, so I depend on podcasts to keep up. It took me about 3 times listening to his to understand he is a total waste of time. I unsubscribed and won't go near the PFT website. If you want to find a fan base that absolutely hates him its the Redskins...he has made getting rid of that name a personal vendetta.
