I would hope we have a better alternative than putting Lenoir In the slot.
He looked pretty good in the slot last year until having to play outside due to Moseley tearing his ACL. It would be between him and Womack unless they bring in Herndon.

He got better every year, Ward found a way to stay on the field after some injury-plagued years. It was time to move on, wish him the best.

we really better how eman comes back like a stud
Kinda wanted to keep him but he's 31 now and is injury prone. Still think he has a couple good years left but will be on the decline soon

Is he the last player from the Harbaugh Era?
Dontae Johnson was drafted that year and he's sorta on the team still.
I think DJ signed a lifetime contract with us, can't shake him.
Lol I actually forgot about him.
lol...... Good luck to Jimmy Ward in Texas.

I'm still wondering what he got per year? I'd guess 8 -10 million

Reportedly 2 years $13mil and if so I'm kind of surprised we didn't match that

If that's true, that's a miss by us. I figured he would have gotten a longer deal and more cash. 2 yes is the perfect amount for him given his age and injury history.

He wanted his natural position back. The Gipson re-signing told him otherwise.

$13 Million is risky to pay a (soon to be) 32 year old DB with a serious injury history. Like Jimmy Ward the person but the NFL is a business and this move makes good business sense.

I didn't like Wards attitude after the loss to the Eagles. He was standing there talking about himself having a good game and acting like that was all the mattered. I know he wanted to play free safety but after the way the Niners stuck with him during all those injuries I don't think he has any cause to complain.

hate to see him go. He was a good chess piece for the defense. Kinda sucks for him he probably doesnt have a chance to get a title now since the Texans are at least a few years away.

Not if the quarterback they draft is a hit and not a miss.

We changed his position like 5 times.
FS, to Slot, to Outside, back to Slot, back to FS, then back to Slot.
